Joseph Fusz was appointed GAL in my family court case. I am fighting for custody of my son from a very tough position. I get that, I own that. I was relieved to have a man as the GAL. Someone who could share a man's fatherly perspective. My first impression of Joe was that he was very likable, smart, and reasonable. Joe continued to be this way throughout the case which has momentarily been removed from call. Although my case hasn't gone exactly the way I wanted it to. Maybe my expectations were too high. And I don't have the knowledge of the law to navigate this case by myself. Perhaps there is

Joseph Fusz was appointed GAL in my family court case. He lost contact of my child 4 months ago. Still hasn't had contact with him and was okay with the judge removing my case from call. Even after the mother violated every term of the court order. He was supposed to play the roll of my child's lawyer and did little to almost nothing to represent him. Pro bono...Ha!!! He got paid his worth...nothing!!!

If I could give negative stars I would. I have paid this unethical attorney over 13,000 between my court cases, and had a reasonable question why I was charged due to the courts moving my court case due to Covid and he withdrew from my case. The only reason he withdrew was because he knew the court case was over and he wouldn’t be making anymore money off of me. I had to hire a new attorney for one court case after paying him thousands of dollars. He came highly recommended to me by a judge and I can rest assure she or myself will no longer recommend him to anyone.

After a lot of research and meetings with other attorneys I met Leigh (Kat). Prior to our meeting, as with all the other attorneys I provided some background information. Kat took the time to read the information I shared prior to our first meeting. She knew exactly what needed to be done advised me and did a fantastic job handling a very messy post decree matter. She is an amazing attorney. If you need help with family law, stop looking, hire Kat, she’s very reasonable on fees and does a great job!

David is a stellar divorce/family law attorney. The Lake County judges know and respect him. He smokes opposing counseling who charge double his rate. He is direct and candid, intelligent and creative. I have worked with 3 prior well known attorneys who are all smoke and mirrors, just wanting to gauge you for billable hours. Hire David, you will be thrilled and your ex will not be!

David has a strong and gifted presence upfront, but poor execution. I retained him for legal services and he committed to cover the case well under the retainer by leveraging his staff. After accepting the assignment he was brief, late and arrogant in his style with me. He billed all hours at his rate and hit his retainer then quit as my lawyer. I plan on going to BBB and the State with my full complaint as soon as I have time.
I would not advise hiring him based on my experience.
