Dr. Matt Gerrish was born and raised in Bar Harbor, Maine- right next to where his practice stands today. He graduated from Logan Colllege in St. Louis with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree and a B.S. in Human Biology, then returned home to start his own practice and raise his family. He lives in Bar Harbor with his wife Andrea and their two children, Rebecca and Hutchin.

Full disclosure; I'm a physician and as such have harbored a small sense of suspicion regarding chiropractic. I had just finished riding across country, ending in Bar Harbor. I blew out my back in Michigan, had a foot drop, was a hot mess. I showed up at Dr. Gerrish's office on short notice and left feeling much improved.
From the reception through the therapy, they were kind and professional. I felt like a welcomed guest in their home and left with a newfound respect for his profession and how he represents it.

Matt Gerrish has treated me three or four times over the last 10 years, for a shoulder issue and most recently after I'd badly tweaked my back. He's very accommodating: one time, he saw me on what was supposed to be a day off for him; another time, I got in on a moment's notice after I explained that I was slated to photograph a wedding later that day and that my back was preventing me from doing so.
These scheduling kindnesses would amount to nothing if the results weren't superb, but they are. Every time, I've walked out of Matt's office with considerably less pain and discomfort than I had

A few years ago, I suffered with pain that radiated from my middle back to the front of my chest. Apparently a twisted rib. In one session Matt adjusted it back into place and I left pain free. Since then, I have visited the Center a few times for various musculoskeletal problems and always found them friendly, accommodating and effective.
