St. Paul Corner Drug
I could see how important it was to the community that they have someone in the healthcare field who was knowledgeable, accessible, and approachable. I wanted to be that for a community, so I chose to go to pharmacy school. I truly feel that it was one of the best decisions I ever made.

A VARIETY OF SERVICES like delivery, custom prescription packaging, immunizations, nutritional counseling, Medication Therapy Management and medical equipment rental. We've been serving the neighborhoods of Mac-Groveland, Highland Park and Merriam Park, downtown St. Paul, and surrounding communities since 1922.
Services
St. Paul Corner Drug-then Kregel Pharmacy-first opened its doors back in 1922. Since then, we have grown to become St. Paul's premier independently owned pharmacy. We still have our old-fashioned soda fountain and continue to provide the highest quality pharmacy services you can find. Our staff has a combined 170+ years of pharmacy service experience.
John is a 1989 graduate of the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy and has been actively practicing community pharmacy at this very location ever since. He served on the Board of Directors for the Minnesota Pharmacists Association for 13 years.

He has received multiple commendations for his service, including the Distinguished Young Pharmacist Award from the Minnesota Pharmacists Association in 1996 and the Bowl of Hygeia Community Service Award-considered to be the highest honor in the pharmacy profession-in 2011.I purchased the pharmacy from its previous owner in 1997, renaming it St.
At St. Paul Corner Drug, we believe the health of the planet directly impacts the health of the people living on it and that every person and business has a responsibility to protect this fundamental, symbiotic relationship between us and the Earth. In order to minimize our environmental impact, we've taken intentional measures to limit the amount of waste we and our patients produce and power our pharmacy using clean energy.
Are you having trouble remembering to take your medication? Or perhaps an elderly family member needs help setting up and managing their prescriptions? Our compliance packaging might be the solution for you! Distinguishing medications by color and shape is a common practice used by many people.

This may work if a person only takes one or two pills but can quickly become very complicated when taking multiple prescriptions at different times of the day - especially when the color and shape of pills change, or new prescriptions are added. We can package your medications into convenient weekly compliance packs that will help you take the right pill(s) at the right time.
St. Paul Corner Drug offers delivery of prescriptions, medical supplies, and over-the-counter products Monday through Friday. We kindly ask for at least 24 hours' notice for all deliveries. A per-delivery fee starting at $5 is based on zip code, with the exception of deliveries to multi-dwelling units, which are charged a flat rate of $3 per delivery.

Support your local pharmacies!! There aren't many of these cute mom and pop shops left and this one is really amazing. The ice cream here is great and the staff are all so friendly and helpful! The soda parlor will throw you right back to the 50s and the assortment of treats is super fun for kids. They have the best prices and people around!

My disabled daughter and I moved to St Paul from Cleveland OH recently and I would really looove to patronize this independent storefront BUT my daughter is wheelchair bound and opening up a non electric entrance door is truly difficult/challenging, which is why I settled for creepy Walgreens. It's the only reason. I didn't patronize chain drug stores in OH. And goodness knows we had a slew of Walgreens, Cvs, Rite-Aid locations. UGH. . . . . .
Anyway, I'm getting her meds from Walgreens at this time otherwise I would gladly rather go to St. Paul Corner Drug.
Thanks for reading. . . . .

I came here today praying there would be a place where I could review this drug store. I have been overwhelmed by the kindness, professionalism and eagerness to serve that these folks have given me. They are amazingly conscientious and devoted to service. You guys, I love you. You have done your very best to serve me, and I hope this helps other customers find their way to you.

I guess this place isn't for me. I will admit, I screwed up by not finding and reading more of the covid restrictions. I'm a new patient and wasn't really sure of the process and figured that they needed all my info and insurance. As soon as I walked in I was told to wait outside. I asked how to get a rx filled I was brought a form that I filled out then went to wait outside. 15 minutes later a young woman comes out, gives me my meds and goes back inside. This is a new medication/treatment for me so I though at least someone would go over it with me. I was hoping that an independent pharmacy would

My family has been using St. Paul Corner Drug's services for over 20 years. The staff is helpful and friendly and the pharmacists will always take time to answer questions. It's a great place for immunizations & you can even treat yourself after with a hot fudge sundae at the soda fountain!

St. Paul corner drug is simply the best. They have curb side pick up, just call them and they’ll help you out. Plus, the pharmacists provide advice such as taking probiotics with antibiotics. Gotta show the gut biome some love!

If you read the reviews of this wonderful people focused small business, it's obvious the verdict is in and the occasional "complaint" is perhaps from people who should probably go ahead and return to their computer, or CVS or Walgreens for their drugstore needs. The pharmacist John is amazing, knowledgeable in a very holistic way in my opinion, and the staff have been very personable with my calls, questions and orders. And here's the kicker, I live in Chanhassen, not the neighborhood. Wish I did grow up near this business or could eat ice cream today :) Besides the personal touch to talking to

A cozy and complete old time pharmacy and one of the last independents around I'm sure. After I lost another mom and popper in Mpls I stretched some miles to try Corner Drug. I really want to buy some items like certain supplements from the smaller guys rather than on line or the mega stores. I don't think I paid anymore than about .80 cents more for the item than I would have at the giants. I was greeted upon entry, and then asked if I needed help which I did. A selection was pointed out and there was a brief explanation of the choices and Rx explanation of things like absorption

We changed from CVS last year after some nonsense with my son's inhaler and we couldn't be happier. The staff is knowledgeable and kind-they even checked on a nail polish type (quick dry gel) that we all had never heard of. The community feel of this place is perpetuated by the local crew who frequents it as well as the traditions (community lunch around the holidays) continued by the staff. Also I believe the owner plows out the hockey rink for free skate in the winter in at Groveland Rec Center. This pharmacy is at the heart of the Mac Groveland community.

I do wish that they had

I've been using this pharmacy for 30 years, but the hours are really frustrating. I'd like to stay local but will have to switch to a pharmacy that stays open past 5 on Saturdays and that will offer at least some Sunday and holiday hours. Sometimes emergencies really do happen, and SPCD's hours are too limited.

Very knowledgable pharmacists. In addition to filling regular prescriptions, they have a line of naturopathic products that work very well.

I'm very happy to support this local business.

I have been here several times since I changed pharmacies. I wasn't sure at first the hours are short. The place is really small. I was worried about parking. ( Saint Clair and Snelling) The people seem so small town.
I am glad I kept coming back.
The hours are not a real problem, because if you have an emergency and need something filled after hours there is an emergency number.
The small space is kinda cozy.
The small town feel. Well it means they treat you like a friend. The pharmacists care, the staff care. They want to make sure you get the best treatment you can.

Cute as can be! This place is what I like about neighborhood places.

After Target couldn't fill my prescription because they didn't carry my item and after another RX took over 4 hours to fill I maybe switching to this place for good. Such a cluster at Target lately.

Called St. Paul Corner Drug and they special ordered some items for me and signed me up for email notifications. They said Monday and there was my email waiting for me as promised that my RX was ready. Excellent customer service, nice and friendly staff. Very nice!

Thank goodness for St. Paul Corner Drug. I quit one of the large chains almost two years ago because I found two different pills with no relation to one another in one bottle. Not good. Returned the Rx and they didn't even apologize. Fast forward to SPCD. Great small locally owned pharmacy who gets it right every time. Terrific service and they have an actual old fashioned soda fountain. Add in stellar service and you've got prescription for success!

I feel like I have been going about my prescriptions all wrong. Please forgive me for the error of my ways (I'm looking at you, Walgreens).

This business is warm, personal and knowledgeable. I always feel welcome when I arrive to pick up my 'scripts. They take most insurance and whenever you call, you never have to wade through a phone tree.

I've been coming here for almost 20 years. Supporting a small business is important to me, them & the economy.

The staff is great & know me by name. Any complications with prescriptions are handled quickly and if they can't be resolved in the store (which isn't often), they refer me somewhere it can.

Not to mention the soda fountain! I get a cone every time I visit!

Small business pharmacy but had all my prescriptions at the same price I would normally pay. They also give huge servings of ice cream for what you pay for.other items might be a little more pricey than if you were to buy them at a big chain store but you are paying for the convenience if you live in the neighborhood.

I like to support local businesses so I try to get my prescriptions filled here when I can. The tricky thing is their hours, what with not being open 24 hours and closed on Sundays, but I make an effort to get there because it is worth it. They are exceptionally friendly, come out and actually talk with you about your prescription and ask if you have questions and actually care. Walgreen's may be open 24-7, but you are definitely a number to them - not the case all Corner Drug. As mentioned they have a soda-pull, but I am not usually in a casual mode when I am there, so have not tried it

I am a big supporter of privately owned businesses such as this. I used to go to Bober's on Grand. I generally boycott large drug store chains. I like the personal touch, and the relationship the dr's tend to have with the pharmacists. If they don't have something, they don't hesitate to order it. Every new Rx he comes out and explains the directions. They have some cards, and gift items, but no magazines. It's not a one stop shop kind of place. You always see people gather at the counter for coffee, pop, or ice cream, or just a place to wait for a Rx to be filled. They
