Shoshone Funeral Service was established in 1969, from all previous funeral homes that served our Silver Valley. We have most records dating back to the 1890's. Our staff consists of three licensed morticians and our own night on call persons. Our mission is to serve every family with calm empathy, to console, to help heal and to comfort our families during the most distraught moments of their lives.

To care for their loved one in a dignified manner. Take a few moments to express your wishes now and help to ease the burden on your loved ones.

He then attended North Idaho College studying heating, ventilation and air conditioning. Dave grew up in the Silver Valley and has called this home, his entire life.
Debbie Mikesell is the daughter of the late Preston E. Mikesell and Joan Mikesell Head. Debbie attended and graduated from the Sandpoint High School of Sandpoint, Idaho in 1974. She then attended and received her Associates degree from the University of Idaho. Debbie then pursued her dream since High School, and attended the San Francisco College of Mortuary Science, where she received her degree in funeral science.
A funeral is an important part of grieving, and often the first step in the healing process. For thousands of years, funerals have been the preferred means of expressing grief and paying tribute to loved ones. When dealing with loss and grief, there is no single solution that meets the needs of every individual.
When it comes to your final arrangements, shouldn't you make the decisions? The arrangements you make will reflect your exact wishes and desires. Pre-arranging your own service will help to ease the burden of your loved ones. It will also alleviate any questions, problems or differences, which can occur among family members.
