Stay and Play Preschool is a faith based, not for profit ministry of Christ Community UMC of Altoona and 1st United Methodist Church of Hollidaysburg. Our program is designed around the idea that children need full, happy, and flexible experiences. Emphasis is placed on the needs of the individual child to develop self confidence and independence through creative play and directed activities in a Christian atmosphere.
A developmental approach is employed, beginning with the simple and building to the complex. Realizing that although there are specific ages at which a child achieves a given skill, each child is different and we attempt to reach our goals while respecting each child's achievement level. Services
The following classes will be available at both campuses for the 2017-2018 school year. 2 years to 2 years/5 months. This class can be extended to a 4 hour program if there is enough interest. 2 years/6 months to 2 years/11 months. 3 years/6 months to 3 years/11 months. LITTLE STEPPERS A 3 (TWTH) or 4 (MTWTH) day/4 hour program for 3 yr.
