Services
Travertine is made of a limestone material that is quarried from the earth. It is cut into tiles which may be used for floors or walls. Because some travertine tiles are very porous they may need to be filled. This is usually done at the factory. In older floors sometimes holes develop but they can be easily filled and will blend in with the rest of the tile.
A number of homes built in Florida from the 1950's through the 1960's used terrazzo as their flooring choice. Terrazzo floors are made of marble chips of various sizes set in cement that is usually an off white color or a shade of taupe. Terrazzo is a very durable and easy to maintain flooring surface that will last forever.
There are many flooring surfaces that can be stripped & waxed. One of the most common surfaces is Vinyl Composition Tile or VCT. VCT Flooring is frequently found in Medical offices, Commercial buildings, Day cares, Churches, Veterinary clinics, Apartment club houses as well as Residential homes. VCT tile is a hard durable surface made to withstand high traffic and last for years with a proper maintenance program.
In the Tampa Bay area, ceramic tile can become dirty and can benefit from machine scrubbing however; it is when the grout gets dirty that customers feel helpless. To effectively grout and tile cleaning, we use a combination of chemicals and specialized equipment. The chemicals are either alkaline or acids used in combination with a high pressure rinsing tool known as a turbo.
Luxury vinyl tile (known as LVT) is made up of multiple layers of vinyl that is durable, water resistant and easy to maintain. LVT comes in many different styles from wood looking planks to stone like square tiles. Although LVT is very durable, it still requires regular maintenance. Often the customer will begin to notice a dull haze or streaks marks on the LVT.
