The above gallery is our InterForce line for Hurricane Master Garage Doors at our south Florida manufacturing plant. Our Miami-Dade County Product Approval for garage doors up to 16' 2 wide requires the addition of 3 small U Bar supports to the back of the door to achieve design pressure of +48 PSF / - 52 PSF These are the same small U Bars seen on all garage doors across the country to keep the doors from sagging in the open position.
We have developed a new type of garage door system specifically with hurricane protection in mind. We have been issued 8 Patents specifically for this doors system to achieve the highest design loads available. This is all done without mounting large reinforcement on the back of the door. This helps with clearance to park larger vehicles inside the garage.
