Honey Bees are beneficial insects that sometimes cause problems. They pose a danger to people and property if they nest near or in the places where we live and work. Honey Bees live in colonies consisting of a single queen bee and thousands of worker bees plus a few hundred males. There can be anywhere from 10,000 to well over 60,000 bees in a colony.

In most cases people just want the bees gone and dont want to spend hundreds of dollars to do so. I can exterminate the bees and in most cases this is all that is needed. Of course if its a swarm and can be captured then I will do that rather than exterminate. In some cases if the bees have been there for years it may be best to completely remove the bees and then cut out the wall or floor and clean out the honey comb.
If the bees have made it inside your home then extermination is most likely the only thing you can do. The bees will not leave on their own. You can tell if the bees are nesting inside your property by looking to see if the bees are going in and out of any openings during the day. If so, they are nesting inside.
Most of the bees today are a hybrid bee. Part European and part African bees. The only way to fully determine if they are Africanized is to take samples to Texas A&M for them to study. You have to take at least 50 and they have to have died within 24 hours. Because of the aggressive nature of African and hybrid Bees it is not possible to save these bees.
According to the buzz in southwest Houston, a large colony of bees that previously made a vacant house their headquarters moved across the street to a resident's house. The more the bees began to migrate toward occupied houses, the more they posed a threat to the residents there.
From loudness to preventing people from getting in and out of their houses, these dangerous Africanized bees were everywhere in this neighborhood, stinging residents, their children, and their pets. The swarm expanded and the bees started creating hives on other nearby neighborhood houses, much to the dismay of the residents.
