Awesome food, nice being seated in your own little room, too.
The Vegetable soup was amazing and the ribeye was perfectly done.

My wife and I had dinner her in August 2021 to basically "check it out" for a dinner for a group of 44 next year. The meal was worth the 5 stars I am giving it. Food was wonderful. You won't be disappointed if you dine here.

Always an exquisite dining experience at the Aspen House! The food is always the very definition of perfection and the service is second to none! I'll never forget when Natasha messaged me the day after my dad passed and told me that her family would like to prepare the food for my dad's services. I'll always remember the extreme kindness and generosity of the the Dirck family. Rawlins is extremely fortunate to have this restaurant and family in their community!

Great place. My husband and I had the filet Mignon topped with lump of crab. The meat deliciously tender and full of flavor. No need for steak sauce. I would recommend this place and come back next time if we are passing by again

What a delightful surprise! My husband and I enjoyed our dinner at Aspen House Restaurant. Everything from the food, service and atmosphere was superb. We started off with the crab dip, so good. And for the main entree my husband ordered the ribeye as I enjoyed the rack of lamb. You don't see lamb on the menu at most places so I am so glad I decided to try. Dessert was a delicious chocolate cheesecake. The drink menu gave a variety of options! I/we highly recommend Aspen House restaurant if you are in Rawlins, WY.

I went to check this place out because as I was thumbing through restaurants I noticed something called "Baton Rouge Sauce" on the menu.
I've lived in Baton Rouge the majority of my life and never heard of such a thing, so I had to come see how Wyoming represented my home.
Let me tell you, they got it out the park with this one! It tastes just like something you'd get at some of our more popular restaurants down there and I'd even say it is better than quite a few! I was VERY surprised to see how good this sauce was. I'm definitely going to try to make it back in before I leave Wyoming to try

Food is very good overall.
Service definitely needs to be worked on.
Of course we are in times where no one wants to work.

On the last leg of our cross street road trip on the way back to California and wanted a great meal so we saw where the Aspen House stated that they had the best steaks in Wyoming. They did not disappoint! In addition my lovely wife Jennifer had the Seabass which was amazing! Highly recommend this establishment and since were both cheesecake aficionados that did not disappoint either!

We started with clam chowder as it was included with the entrees. I got the New Orleans Salmon and my dining partner the Ribeye steak, not blackened, medium rare. Both entrees came beautifully presented and very large portions. And delicious.

They claim this is the best steak in Wyoming. I'm going to have to agree. Steaks were incredible. Crab Rangoon appetizer was delicious and the sweet and sour sour sauce complemented them perfectly. Not your normal sticky pink mess by far. We had the shrimp cocktail and the cocktail sauce had good flavor not spicy at all (happily).

I had the sirloin and crab legs. By far the best sirloin I have ever had. I'm normally a ribeye lover and this was sooo good.

My hubby had the Oscar filet. He liked the dish alot.

Service was great. I was happy to see the staff wearing masks.

Reservations recommended! Cute atmosphere being in an old house, however my expectations were a little high for what we actual experienced. Food had good flavor, but just wasn't quite enough for the money. The blackened Cajun ribeye for my husband was cooked well and he enjoyed the flavor. My lobster ravioli was delightful, however I left hungry after a $100 tab. That's was unsettling enough not to go back.

The service was not what we expect from a restaurant like this. Water glasses went empty and were never refilled. Our food was good but for me not over the top awesome.

We found ourselves in Rawlins during our cross country journey. What a hidden gem of a place this is. Situated in a beautiful historic house, it is family run and the matriarch of the family has been the only chef since its inception. The ribeye steaks were cooked to perfection and the dessert was to die for. Such a nice place to relax after a long day of driving. Don't eat anywhere else if you find yourself in Rawlins!

Saw Billboards claiming this to be "The Best Steak in Wyoming" and while the steak was very good. It was definitely not the best steak in Wyoming. That's just my opinion, let me elaborate why.
The things that make a good steak good just weren't there for me. I will say though, my steak I ordered rare and the person I ate with ordered there's medium well. Both of the insides of our steaks were actually cooked perfectly. Which I think is pretty hit or miss ANY time you order a steak. Both of our steaks were smothered in sauce which honestly isn't something I am a huge fan of. I think a good steak

This is Wyoming but there were no horses or cowboys but if you squint your eyes I'm sure you can picture them here. I travel and really enjoy a good meal. I tried the Cajun rib eye with asparagus and it was GREAT! The house is very interesting with an interesting chandelier! I was captured by their slogan " Best Steak in Wyoming " and so far they are the top of the list. Try it you won't be disappointed. The dessert is worth saving room for, too.

Really amazing filet. Soooo yummy. Service was excellent. Very accommodating! I'm not from Rawlins but have dined in Laramie many times. This was a very satisfying dining venue for such a small, quaint town. GO!

This is a cute restaurant. We had a room all to ourselves, but there was no detectable air conditioning, no fans or windows open, so it was not comfortable.

We had 1 amazing dish (filet and shrimp in peppercorn sauce), 2 really good dishes (seafood fettucine and fried calamari), 2 pretty good dishes (ribeye and clam chowder) and 1 terrible dish that made me regret even coming to this restaurant (BBQ Cajun Ribeye). This last dish says that it is seasoned in Cajun spices and grilled to perfection. I tasted no cajun spices AT ALL and the steak is topped with shrimp and DROWNED in BBQ sauce. The
