The owner of "DOMUS - Home Inspection Services"., Rob Curtin, has been a licensed Architect in many states including Maryland, and a member of the American Institute of Architects for over 35 years. He retired from full-time practice as a COO having personally designed and built more than 200 award-winning projects ranging from major corporate headquarters to single-family homes.
We'll inspect the structure, systems, and components of the home, inside and out, from the foundation to the roof, using the latest tools and technology. We encourage you to attend your inspection so that we can describe our process, explain our findings, point out important maintenance items, and answer all of your questions.
Domus Home Inspection services, LLC are certified and authorized to perform all these additional services. We use continuous radon monitors in order to obtain a rapid turnaround time necessary for real estate transactions. Results are often obtained in about 2 days and a radon report is generated the same day the monitor is retrieved.
A rental inspection is intended to make sure the unit meets requirements for habitation as determined by the state, county and city. It is very important that these requirements be met before you call for an inspection, as a second visit is an extra charge. Baltimore County and the City of Baltimore requires a rental inspection every two or three years based on certain conditions.

We can't recommend Rob enough! He was quick to respond and fit us into his schedule in a time frame that worked for us. He was so thorough in his inspection and made sure that we understood everything that he was pointing out. His background as an architect is a huge asset for the inspection and allowed him to point out some items that not everyone would see. We would hire Rob again in a heartbeat!

I recently requested home inspection and Radon testing services from Mr. Robert - Domus Home Inspection Services. On the inspection day, Mr. Robert was present at the location before me and was inspecting porch outside. For me, making it on or before time is one of the most important quality of the service provider as it shows their seriousness and determination towards their business. I have used a lot of home inspections firms for personal real estate purchases and for my work. DOMUS is head and shoulders over all of them. They were prompt and helpful, and it is unique to have a home inspector have the expertise and experience like Rob Curtain, who is an architect. That expertise was evident a number of times as he did the inspection and report and explained the various issues and options to me. I will definitely use DOMUS again and again.
