While today Stafford Construction services any construction and home remodeling project in Galax VA, and Southwest Virginia, my history in construction extends back to my grandfather in Wisconsin. The first being the importance of a well-built home that can keep the elements out and the comfort in.
The second, that a home should be a place where you feel most comfortable and that is important that it looks, feels, and functions the way you want it to. I didn't realize, as a young boy, what a valuable lesson my grandfather was teaching me when I assisted him on some of his building projects.

Stafford Construction exhibited three qualities that I admired greatly throughout the process of remodeling my mother's bathroom: professionalism, honesty, and excellence of work. Jerry and his employees were competent and willing to work with me throughout the whole process, and I feel as though they took the time and effort to really listen to my requests. I hired Jerry a few months ago to remodel the bathroom for my parents. They needed a more accessible bathroom that was safer and easier to use. This was NOT a normal job. I lived more than 2 1/2 hours away, interviewed him over the phone, checked his references, sent him pictures of the project concept, and then he went to meet with my parents. They were, to say the least, reluctant recipients of the remodel.
Jerry had to navigate between often divergent demands of two daughters (my sister and I) and the inhabitants of the house who were pretty sure they didn't need anything new.

We had Stafford Construction remodel our home as well as add 1100 sq ft on. We cannot say enough about Jerry and his men who worked on our house. From the moment we met Jerry, we knew his company was the one we wanted to work on our home. He was punctual for our first meeting and made suggestions that helped so much in the getting started process. Jerry gave us daily updates on what was going to happen. Jerry has so much knowledge about the construction industry and we are so happy with the results. If Jerry was not on site, he came at the end of the day and personally inspected his crews work
