Our primary responsibility in the District Attorney's office is the prosecution of felony and misdemeanor criminal offenses committed within our jurisdiction. Our objective is not to convict or condemn, but to see that justice is done in each and every case. We seek to serve and protect the citizens of Colbert county through the vigorous enforcement of the criminal laws of the State of Alabama.

Rest assured that as your D.A., I will continue the vigorous prosecution of violent crimes in this county. Angela Hulsey is my Chief Assistant District Attorney. Angela has been with the D.A.'s Office for 14 years. Angela has successfully prosecuted a wide variety of criminal offenses ranging from Theft of Property to Capital Murder.
The Worthless Check Unit processes retutned checks that have been written to businesses as well as individuals. Our Pre-trial program allows for individuals with first time offenses, or other minor offenses, an opportunity to resolve their charges without a conviction. The Restitution Recovery unit is responsible for the collection of monies from defendants who have suffered financial loss as a result of criminal activity.
