We opened our first restaurant in 2004 with a simple commitment to bring great tasting Mexican food at affordable prices to the community. From the very beginning, Benny Sr. knew that his dream was to run a successful business along side of his wife, daughter and two sons.
What started out as a small business has now branches out to a second location ran by his two son Jose and Benny Jr. Whether guests are celebrating with family, meeting over lunch, or on a date, they have a welcoming atmosphere at Don Nico's!Each of our restaurants has a distinct style and decor. Inspired by Mexican culture and art, striving to give each customer an experience of what Mexican culture is about.

We were passing through on business travel and stopped here for supper. Neely was such a refreshing server. Very knowledgeable, sweet, talking care of everything we needed before we even asked. She truly did a great job! My husband had the barbacoa plate and said it was some of the best he's had. I had the enchiladas verde and it was very good. Great break on our trip. We will be back if we are in the area again.

I'm very sorry to report this but honesty is a good policy. The server was awesome. Cassandra 👍🏻So we are traveling and stopped to feed my family of 8' ppl! All was good except my two plates ofCarne Guisada was… spoiled. I tasted it and Right away I knew it was spoiled! For $100. Dinner ticket wasn't bad. Just wish the cook would pay better attention to the food preparation! It literally got my husband sick!

We ate at Don Nico’s Sunday lunch 9/12 after Tarleton Parent Weekend. The food was beyond outstanding! Starting with the fresh warm chips, the hot salsa to the ever wonderful heat from the green sauce (you must ask and try) From the enchilada, rice, beans to the enormous beyond stuffed burrito and homemade flautas! All hot & fresh. The service… our waitress was over the top friendly, attentive and helpful. We ordered tamales to give them a try and can you say PERFECTION? Perfect amount and taste of masa, perfect amount of meat = The Perfect Tamale (the wait was well worth it).

Came from out of town to help move in at Tarleton. I was told to try different restaurants and we picked Don Nicos. Great Choice we made. They have a wide variety of options on the menu. I ordered the Lengua Plate for $12.95. It was very good. It's hard to find beef lengua on menus. So glad we tried Don Nicos. We will be back.
