Big Blue Smokehouse was started by two couples who combined their friendship and love of barbecue. The business initially consisted of catering and dishing up deliciousness at festivals; in 2012, the restaurant was established. With local owners, we know what people in the area want when it comes to their steak and barbecue, and we're ready to serve it up!

The Big Blue Smokehouse team knows that law enforcement officials and military veterans do great work serving our country. As a small token of our appreciation, we're happy to provide any veteran or member of law enforcement with a 20% discount on his or her bill. And because we want to welcome those visiting the area, all guests of the Holiday Inn Express Hotel will receive a 10% discount on their order.

Our restaurant is open seven days a week, and we have a regular Happy Hour from 4pm to 7pm.

Ok so the restaurant itself was a pretty cool atmosphere. The staff was excellent have no complaints about them. Now let’s talk about the food. The food on the other had was way overpriced to get started. And the ribs were cold and at least a day old. The fries were just as bad cold and undercooked. The drinks tasted like they use flat pop and three week old juice. Was completely disappointed with the food and drinks. So now you make your own choice. I would opt out if I was you. I gave it a shot and will not be back.

Well we pulled up on bikes from out of town. Owner was sitting there telling everyone that the location has moved. I asked why he has not changed it on Google maps which takes 2 minutes, he said he would. It’s a week later and he still has not changed it. Went to the new location. Danny had the cold burnt wings. I ordered a Budweiser but received a warm Bud Light. Oz had the cold brisket sandwich but it tasted O.K., nothing great by any means.

They recently moved so, be prepared to get redirected to their new location by a sign on the door of their old location if you use Google maps GPS. Very polite and attentive bar tender (Female with glasses and ponytail). I was riding my Harley Softail Deluxe and she seemed genuinely concerned tgat I be careful on my bike 😊. Good food with large portions. Very clean and I will definitely return and recommend.

Our family recently gathered in Hazard, Kentucky to attend the funeral of a dearly
beloved family matriarch. Being from several different states, with an accumulated wind shield time of over 31 hours, we were exhausted physically, mentally, and spiritually. We knew we had to eat, sit down and talk a bit. My awesome amazing applesauce daughter-in-law quickly googled and we all agreed on: Big Blue Smokehouse. Upon arrival, I teased the owner "this had better be good" and explained a bit of the situation. The time 9 p.m. however, we were seated promptly. The sweet waitress took the orders for eight

I had the brisket plate with the broccoli casserole which was fantastic and sweet potato fries. The brisket was really good. I would highly recommend this place if you were in the area and want some good barbecue. David was my server and needed a great job took really good care of him. Glad that I came in.
