After two decades visiting the Sunshine State as international 'snowbirds', Petra and Harald Prion relocated from their native Germany to Venice, Florida in 2012, where they now live and work year-round.
With the opening of their Prion Photography studio in 2013, the Prions bring to the Suncoast more than three decades of portrait photography expertise, the latest photographic and digital image technology, and their signature award-winning artistic aesthetic.Petra and Harald both earned Photography degrees from German photography institutes, and this rigorous curriculum included working alongside established master photographers.

We photograph babies from three to eighteen months in your home or in our studio, conveniently located in Venice, in the heart of Sarasota County. We stock up on everything mothers need during the portrait session, including a changing table, diapers, blankets and more. We have cute backdrops and props of all kinds that babies love to pose with.
We like to work with seniors graduating from Sarasota County high schools who want something more creative and interesting in addition to the traditional high school portrait. At our studio in Venice, your home or other location, allow us to capture this special time as your teenager prepares to transition from high school and home to life beyond.
Pets are family too, and we love photographing them. Pets only do what they want to do; they are sweet and beautiful and fun to work with, and we enjoy capturing their unique personalities in our pet portraits. What kind of pet do you have? We'll not only photograph dogs and cats, but just about any animal you hold dear (except spiders)!
Our family portraits mark a specific season or event in each family's history, giving them a memento to cherish forever.
