Cupping is one of the oldest methods of Asian medicine, its earliest use dating back to 1550 B.C. Traditionally, cupping therapy was performed using hollowed-out animal horns or cups made of bamboo, iron, or pottery. In modern times glass, plastic, and even silicone cups are used. Modern cupping therapy consists of placing a specialized cup over specific areas on the skin, using heat or a manual pump to create suction.
Herbal medicine has traditionally been used by native cultures all over the world to maintain health and treat illnesses, and has since evolved into a sophisticated system of diagnosis and medicine. I was in search of an acupuncturist for my a gastrointestinal problem as recommended from my gastroenterologist . I work in the shopping center and she takes my insurance so I thought it would be convient. I went in around 3:15 to make an appt. No one was at the front desk and there was a women with her daughter waiting. I took a seat. She eventually comes out after helping patients. She was a bit busy as she checked her chart called the lady up to fill out paperwork and take payment. I continued to wait and was patient as she was busy and the only one there. I started seeing Dr. Awan less than a year ago. She helped me with several health problems . She is very attentive to my needs and really takes her time to address my issues. But, the main reason I am writing this review today is this week’s visit. This was my first visit since the pandemic. I’m extremely grateful for the three years that I was under Dr. Zohra’s care. I came to her for fertility and stress support and she’s been there for me every step of the way. Her bedside manner is polite, genuine and calm. Her office is clean and welcoming and she makes scheduling a breeze. She even handles insurance claims. Dr. Awan is a skilled and sensitive practitioner. As a midwife, I refer my clients and community members to her for a range of challenges, or to support general wellbeing. I have personally benefited from seeing her, and she works wonders with pain management. I have been coming to this office for the past two months for treatment of chronic lower back pain. Ms. Zohra Awan is very caring and excellent practitioner. She is very compassionate and gentle in her approach to treatment. I felt lot of relief after the first treatment.and am continuing to improve with each visit.
