Atascadero Cooperative Preschool is a unique, family-centered learning environment with a community of trusted adults working together for the education of each child. Founded in 1963 by a group of parents who wanted to actively participate in their children's education and development, today the school continues to operate by the parents of the children enrolled alongside the teacher/director.
The parents assist the professional teacher in the classroom on a rotating basis and participate in classroom activities. Parent help is an integral and wonderful part of the school program and ACP is a product of all who share in it. Each family shares in the operation of the school, thus making it truly a cooperative venture.

Atascadero Cooperative Preschool is a wonderful environment and home for our families and children to grow together. We feel blessed for the program and the opportunities we are able to offer. We also recognize the importance of teaching our children the value of giving back through service-learning opportunities both within our community and to our world.
Tuition is based on a yearly amount that is divided evenly over 10 months for affordability. Credit Cards / PayPal: Credit Card or ACH payments can be made via PayPal at any time during the month, and are a great option for anyone wanting a Receipt for payment. However, even though we are a non-profit entity, PayPal charges a fee for each transaction (2.25% + $0.30), and we need to pass this charge on to you.
