Services
Lake Country Associates (LCA) was founded in the fall of 2009 by Jean Greseth and Shawn Anderson. After a short time, we moved into our newly renovated building at 515 Bridge Street in Park Rapids. Serve the residents of our community with a locally owned and operated, financially stable mental health service provider.
Psychosocial assessments summarize current stressors, client history and functioning. A trained therapist makes a diagnosis and determines individualized treatment recommendations. Services to reduce the impact of mental health conditions on the individual's daily functioning, improve coping skills and provide resources to support the client in recovery from the mental health condition.
Lake Country Associates provides Substance Use Disorder (SUD) services (formerly known as "Chemical Dependency" or "CD" Services) out of our Park Rapids and Menahga offices. Lake Country Associates (LCA) SUD services are designed to provide Low to High Intensity Outpatient services for adults. Evidence-based research shows Motivational Interviewing increases higher recovery progress when moving through the Stages of Change.
Group Therapy utilizes the experience of group processing and discussion to help people reach their recovery goals. Anger Management uses evidence-based methods to help individuals learn to manage anger effectively and gain self-control over thoughts and actions.
LEARN (Lifestyle * Exercise * Attitudes * Relationships * Nutrition) teaches weight-management principles to develop techniques for lifestyle changes to those who struggle with weight, mood and stress management.Systems Training for Emotional Predictability and Problem Solving (STEPPS) is a group for persons with emotional regulation problems to learn coping skills.

Adult Rehabilitative Mental Health Services, also know as ARMHS, is a community-based service that helps adults with mental illness manage their symptoms while living in the community. By reducing mental health related hospitalizations, the program is able to reduce the cost of care and improve the quality of life for people in the program.
