Thorough Initial Exam: We realize that orthodontic treatment is a big decision, and we want you to make that decision with as much information as possible.
Dr. Steven L. Hechler has specialized in the practice of orthodontics in Johnson County since 1987. Dr. Hechler grew up in north central Missouri. He pursued his undergraduate training at the University of Missouri - Columbia. He received his dental degree at UMKC School of Dentistry, graduating at the top of his class.
We are especially interested in making all our patients feel right at home! We put your needs first to achieve efficient and comprehensive treatment. Our staff is trained and skilled, and we strive to provide energetic and fun-loving service to each patient. Our office staff has years of experience in treating patients with the highest level of care.
Fees for orthodontic treatment vary depending upon what is needed. We feel that financial concerns should not stand in the way of an outstanding smile. The fee for your individualized treatment will be thoroughly discussed, and a payment plan established without interest. Various payment plans can be utilized, from payment in full at treatment initiation, to an extended plan over a few years.
I couldn't express my appreciation enough for the assessment of my sons future orthodontic/surgical needs and that Dr. Hechler didn't 'brace' him now just to 'brace' him! We will definitely be back! Thank you for the incredible service and results you provided for me. It would be difficult to find a more knowledgeable, courteous, and professional team in the city (possibly the country)!

Dr Hechler and his son Dr Paul Hechler and the staff are wonderful! They took a lot of time detailing the plan for my daughters teeth and making sure we were comfortable. The day she got her braces was swift and painless and Dr Hechler called later that night to check in on her. I had him as a orthodontist in junior high and he is still just as kind and proficient as he was back then. Thanks!

The doctors and nurses were so nice to me and my family. They got us in and out quick and would answers any questions we had. I wouldn’t recommend anyone else. They are some of the best people I’ve ever met. The entire community of people that works there is so nice. They got to know me personally and would ask me questions about my day and school. Such lovely people. I cannot say anything but good things about them.

Hechler Orthodontics did a great job with my orthodontic work. Mine was more of a bite issue and I had to wear a lot of rubber bands. They were very professional and always worked with my schedule. My dentist recommended Hechler because they do great work, especially correcting bite issues. I would definitely recommend Hechler Orthodontics!!

Our family first started our relationship with Hechler Orthodontics in 2013 when my oldest daughter got braces. Next up my younger daughter and now - I too have braces, because I wanted their beautiful "pageant smile." Both Dr. Steven Hechler and Dr. Paul Hechler have a great bedside manner and do a good job of communicating with their patients. The hygienists are great and the front desk assistants are always friendly and helpful. Our family has been very pleased with both the service and results received at Hechler Orthodontics.

I have been going here since I was in second grade. I am now a junior in high school. The staff is super nice and willing to answer any questions. Another thing that I like is that they have iPads to keep younger patients occupied while you wait. They also have a "movie theater" where they show movies all the time. I highly recommend Dr. Hechler to anyone in the Overland Park area needing an orthodontist.
