Why are my teeth sensitive? Sensitive teeth often come from the fact that your gums have slightly receded. This recession of the gum line allows the underlying dentin to show through which allows water and food easier access to the sensitive nerve. To manage this, there are a number of toothpastes, gels and even some dental procedures that can be applied.

Dr. Chou and his team are beyond amazing! He is extremely patient and sincere. I had major issues with my teeth and gums ranging from a cracked tooth to redoing my root canals. I feel very well taken care of and trust him with my teeth with no questions. I used to be so afraid to get my teeth cleaned but now I can say I no longer exhibit any fear going to see my hygienist nor am I afraid to go get dental work from Dr. Chou! I highly recommend him and his team!

I had to get a crown done. It turned out he wanted to do "a lot more than that" Chatting with his staff and getting them to open up, speak about kids, sports, the work they had done from their boss etc. it's came to my knowledge he is notorious for trying to add work that genuinely isn't needed at the time. Hearing that his own staff is going to different doctors for second opinions was extremely eye opening as that speaks volumes.
The positive person in me gave him the benefit of the doubt. I continued to get work done despite hearing what I just heard... a few fillings

Jade is my hygenist now and I like her very much. She is thorough and patient and very friendly. I love Dr. Chou's staff a lot and find the office very professional and comfortable. Myrna and Noriko greet everyone and have helped me a lot over the years with anything I need in the front office. Kathy is Dr. Chou's dental assistant and she is very sharp and friendly as well. I know that I receive personal attention and excellent dental care with Dr. Chou. I am very grateful to have this office as my dental office.

Can't thank Dr. Chou enough for accommodating an emergency appointment to fix my temp crown! He is a kind, thorough, and gentle dentist, SUPER important for this patient who doesn't endure pain too well, and has high levels of anxiety when SITTING in that chair! I would highly recommend him for anyone shopping for a general dentist - he's your guy!

We have been coming to Dr. Chou since he started at this practice many, many years ago. Let's just say, he was young and we were younger too. Now we are really old, but he stays young, and we still have all our teeth, thanks to his excellent care. He and his hygienists are all extremely good at what they do and make visiting the dentist a pleasure and nothing to dread.

I've had many issues with my teeth for a long time. I have tried several dentists, and Dr. Chou is by far THE best. He is the perfect mix of friendliness and professionalism. Dr. Chou really took the time to listen to my concerns, did a thorough evalution, and then came up with a written treatment plan that provided a breakdown of what would be done each visit. I loved this! I had been procrastinating for so long to take care of some dental issues, and really thought it was beyond repair, but he was a pro at making me feel at ease. I am impressed! First of all, the staff is awesome. Every interaction including scheduling, explaining benefits and reception is friendly and professional. The dental hygienist was the best I've encountered, you can tell she loves what she does. Dr. Chou is thorough, yet efficient. You get in and out in a timely manner, office space is updated and modern, and there's easy parking on the corner lot right in front of the office.

Absolutely the best health practice Ive ever had the pleasure of being in. Dr. Chou has assembled an amazing staff including the front desk & hygienists.
Typically dentists recommend a cleaning every 6 months. Dr. Chou told me my oral hygiene and body chemistry probably didnt require me to come in that frequently and he suggested once every 10-12 months, which will end up costing him 50% of the money I would have normally paid him, but he won me over for life.

I've been going to Dr. Chou since he bought the practice from Dr. Downs. It must have been more than 10 years now. The little things that Dr. Chou and the staff does, makes me feel welcomed and cared for. They make sure that I have my little pillow, a blanket for my feet, and a small towel to cover my eyes. Having these things helps me to relax and feel safe. When Dr. Downs sold his practice, I was worried with the new dentist. The gentlest, most precise dentist in the area! With Dr. Chou, I've never once felt any discomfort or pain (I've never even felt the shots!) - he makes it a priority that you are comfortable. He is also very patient in listening to your questions and won't just rush off to the next patient. Dr. Chou is now 'out of network' with my new insurance, but I still go to him! I'd much rather pay a few extra bucks than go to anyone else. Whole staff is excellent and kind. Very clean and bright office. I recommend him to everyone who asks for dentist recommendations.

Just had my first visit at Dr. Chou's office. I had an excellent first experience. Everyone was so friendly and personable. I had my teeth cleaned, polished, and x-rays. The office is very nice and clean. This will be my new dentist from here. I am also having my fiancée switch to this dental office. I would recommend anyone to schedule an appointment here.

Best dentist that I've had! He was highly recommended by a friend to do my bridge removal and crown so I went to get the procedure done.
This was the very first time that I did NOT feel pain when I got the numbing shot! What a wonder right? Dr. Chou was very careful and gentle and went slow enough where I felt pressure but no pain. The whole procedure went smoothly and better than I had expected.
Overall, he's a great dentist and really cares about the patient's experience (and making it as painless as possible). He answered all my questions and walked me through the procedure
