Positive: Professionalism, Quality
They were very flexible with appointment times for my cats’ checkups. Most of the staff was very friendly and courteous too. I will definitely take my kitties back, and I’m glad to have found a good vet for them!

Went in to have a stitch put in a lip on a puppy that weighed 8 lbs. Was told they had to numb it amd recut it to stitch. They ended up charging me for anesthesia instead and I could hear the puppy screaming the entire time. Therefore the puppy was not completely out and I would have never consented to anesthesia. No communication on their part about the bill or what they would be doing or how long. Just cut a puppy before anesthesia was kicked in and charged me for it on a tiny puppy. Would not recommend. Also have taken my big dogs and also no communication.

We have been patrons of Kenai Veterinary Hospital for over 20 years. We had done business with other vets in the area that weren’t as responsive so when we recently lost both our small dog Lulu and our large Mastiff Sissy within months of each other , they were so kind and took care of the cremation services so quickly for us . We have recently gotten a new puppy and he has gotten his puppy shots and we are on our way to another happy dog with Kenai Veterinary Hospital

KVH always shows my fur family the best pet care. It’s as if each of my pets is one of their own. They go above and beyond to care for our pets and never have they overcharged me. In fact, often I’m surprised at how inexpensive they are! Me and my family highly recommend KVH!

Dr. Curt is our favorite Vet!! He is caring and gives amazing advice for proper love and care of our fur babies!! I am also a reptile mom, so it would be cool to be able to take my exotics to the same clinic whenever the need may arise. Other than that, so far, no complaints whatsoever!! I have brought my pets here for the last 14+ years now, and have been very happy with the care and service I have been provided!!

I will be going to Kenai Vet Hospital for all my pets needs. 4 dogs and a cat. I live in Anchor Point but will not take my pets back to Homer veterinary. Kenai Vet Hospital is professional, knowledgeable and caring.
I'd recommend them if you are within driving distance.

The best Veterinarian Office I’ve ever been to! These folks truly care about your animals. It’s such a breath of fresh air. They have great ladies up front who are happy to assist you with your questions and scheduling, while the Dr.s really care and take the time with your visit. They don’t rush it and make sure they hear what you’re saying. They also don’t push medications which is a big plus. I’ve even had them offer complimentary services to our bill instead of charging us for everything. They have always listened to our concerns and questions and are happy to take the time to make

I drove down from Anchorage this week with my dog to get his teeth cleaned here, they turned out really good, nice and white, all the gunk scraped off. I drove all the way down due to the fact that it was about half the price of any vet office I called in Anchorage, and also less expensive then a few other vets I checked with on the peninsula. They removed all the extra add on costs that other offices try to charge you for, and only do the necessary work to keep your furry buddy healthy and happy. They were ready when we arrived and my dog was ready for me when I came back to pick him up. Dr. McCartan

I have lived on the Peninsula my whole life and my family has taken our pets to Kenai Veterinary Hospital for as long as I can remember. As a foster parent for a local rescue, I have tried the other places and keep coming back to Dr. McCarten & Dr. Wisnewski because they are great with the animals and always have the answers. From birth to death of my furry loved-ones, Kenai Vet has always been respectful, knowledgeable, and able to fit us in for emergencies. There is no other option for my family when a vet is needed.
