The Boathouse Brewpub is a place to gather with friends and enjoy great food and drinks. We brew a variety of beers in our in-house brewery and offer "to-go" beer growlers in glass and plastic (BWCA Approved). We are looking for bar, restaurant, and kitchen staff that want to work in a fun, professional environment. If that's you, give us a call or stop by and talk with our management.
Services
Red onion, tomato, baby carrots, croutons, mozzarella, and cheddar cheese over greens. We will substitute a black bean patty on any of our burger options at no extra charge. Please make sure to specify if you are vegetarian so we do not cook your food near meat products. Dressing options include bleu cheese, ranch, feta vinaigrette, orange vinaigrette, 1,000 island, or french.

Tim was our server and he was working his tail off to ensure all of his tables had their food and were happy with their service. As tourists just passing through Ely, we had plenty of options to stop for lunch but we’re really glad we chose this brewpub! The Cuban was full of flavor and the lady enjoyed her cheeseburger. Good fries, but the in-house stout left something to be desired for me, if I’m ever through again I’ll definitely try a different brew.

Had the Walleye fish and chips and coleslaw. So delicious and filling. I could not finish it! Ely is quite a little tourist place in northern MN. Glad we stopped here. We were going to eat at the Insula in Ely but they require a mask to enter. Masks haven’t been required for over a month anywhere. So my husband didn’t have one with him Not that we mind wearing one when asked . Glad we stopped here!

For Bar Service and Appetizers definitely a worthwhile choice. Nice selection of craft beers (from around $6) and a great bartender when we visited. Blueberry Blonde Beer a popular favorite was interesting and enjoy able as was the Creamy Ale. Also had the Steak Bites ($11) an almost melt in your mouth experience with a tangy maybe honey mustard sauce. Open bar area with spacious sitting that was a nice chill atmosphere. Next time I'm going to try the Duck Wings.
