Prairie View Montessori
Education is not just schooling. Genuine education is about the joys of discovery and the deep satisfaction of realizing one's potential. The Montessori approach provides education for life. At Prairie View Montessori our goal is to create an environment where this can happen for every child, at every age.

Although we sometimes hear the word "philosophy" applied to Montessori education, it is not a set of beliefs, but rather a scientific method, an approach to the child which has as its core a fundamental respect for the abilities with which each child is endowed. Children are born with certain abilities, but they don't develop them in a void!
Services
Children learn by observing everything that comes within their attention span. It is critical they are in an environment to kindle their inquisitiveness and be excited to ask questions. Prairie View's primary mission is to serve children by offering interactive, dynamic learning environments, which meet their cognitive, physical, social and emotional needs.
Although we sometimes hear the word "philosophy" applied to Montessori education, it is not a set of beliefs, but rather a scientific method, an approach to the child which has as its core a fundamental respect for the abilities with which each child is endowed. Dr. Montessori was a scientist and a physician.
Children are born with certain abilities, but they don't develop them in a void! They need a carefully prepared environment, which meets their needs at each level of development, in order to fully realize their potential. As infants we do not learn to walk by lying in a crib, nor do we learn by an adult forcing our limbs to move beneath us.
Prairie View Montessori welcomes all children without regard to race, color, gender, or religious background. To meet Illinois state licensing requirements, children must be three to enter pre-school, out of diapers, and able to toilet themselves. Our admission process begins when a family contacts us requesting information.
Objectively designed to have kids relax and unwind; yet be engaged and connected to the fundamentals of the Montessori curriculum. Montessori programs are designed around children's developmental stages. Classes are divided into three year age groups to approximate these cycles. The advantage of this is that children get to spend longer periods of time together.

Prairie View Montessori and the staff have been wonderfully influential to our toddler’s development. We enrolled our daughter after having her at a local daycare as an infant. As she became more expressive, we were seeking a more educated approach to her day to day care. After visiting quite a few preschools, we were elated to find Prairie View. Since becoming a student, she has blossomed with her social, verbal, and analytical skills. I know it might sound a bit much for describing a 2 year old. But she is thriving and loving every minute of school. I can not say enough wonderful things about

I can't say enough great things about Prairie View Montessori. Donna and her team really care about each and every child and it really shows. My daughter loves going to daycare/school here and enjoys all the activities and outdoor time that she gets to experience every day.
I know when I drop off my daughter she is getting the best care and attention that I could only hope for in a daycare/school. Prairie View Montessori is a hidden gem in the North Aurora/Batavia area and I am so happy to have found them to take care of my daughter while I'm working.

Our son has been going to Prairie View Montessori since the beginning of the 2019-2020 school year. We are so impressed with the school. My son was nervous about a new school and Ms. Donna’s kind and patience demeanor put us all at ease.
I am always Informed what my son is working on, what he is learning, and what areas I can help him develop in. He could write his name before he even turned 3.5! I have also seen him become more responsible and independent and credit that to the Montessori philosophy.
Day-to-day Ms. Donna and team have a variety of learning and activities. There is a private

Prairie view and Ms Donna deserve 6 stars. I purposefully waited to write this review until my kids graduated and transitioned into public first grade. We have 6 year old twins - they are both very far advanced compared to other first grade children and we are in Naperville 203. Send your kids here and keep them in through kindergarten. You won’t regret it.

We couldn’t be more impressed with Prairie View Montessori. As someone with a career in early childhood, and also a product of Montessori education, I can safely say, Prairie View is a cut above the rest. We started our son in the toddler program at 15months and he has blossomed. He runs in to school eagerly every morning, and we get nothing but great reports from his teachers. The way they talk about him— you can tell they really know and love him. The small size of the school and classes make the school feel more like a home than a “program” or “center.” The indoor and outdoor environments

Our son has been going to Prairie View Montessori for the past 3 years, and we are delighted about his academic and social skills progress. He's happy, eager to play with friends, yet knows basic disciple principles, which are taught in a very kind, respectful way. Miss Donna, the principal, is a true professional - humble, passionate, observant and enthusiastic. She is our Grisha's best friend, and a respected mentor at the same time. Thank you!
