At Local Landscapers we help Lake Anna area clients enjoy their time while at the lake. We offer landscaping maintenance services to give you back your time on the weekends from landscaping related chores such as mowing & monthly spraying. Hi, my name is Chaz Smith, I graduated Louisa County High School in 2008.
Consumed with curiosity about how something as small as an acorn could grow into a colossal oak tree, I attended a local community college and earned my Associates Degree in Horticulture. Nearing the completion of the horticulture degree I signed up for some business classes. This opened an entirely new avenue of interest, and that's when it hit me, I wanted to start a landscaping business.

Services
When the service is completed, we will leave a sign that has the date, time and the tech who performed the service. The advantage of liquid applications over granular only applications, is that we can place multiple products on the lawn at the same time. This saves time and money, and in most cases, we don't have to wait for rain/watering for the products to start working.
In the softest area's, I would assume that our aerator can puncture down up to 5 inches. However, typical cores are 1.5 to 3 inches long, depending on how tough the soil is and aerator pressure setting. Tall fescue usually needs to grow tall to go to seed naturally, it can take a few weeks. However, in a well maintained lawn, it isn't capable of going to seed, because it is consistently mowed before it reaches that height.
We offer a couple of solutions for shorelines. These are either riprap with stone and fabric or installing a vinyl seawall. When doing riprap, we have the options of two different stones, riprap size (size of footballs) and gabion sized stone which are about 5-8 inches in size. The riprap is common for areas with more wave action and gabion is a great solution for quieter coves and such.
We offer final grading or regrading of your lawn. Sometimes there are just too many stones, ruts, and erosion in the lawn to repair by other methods. We would then suggest regrading. We bring out our skid steer to rough grade your existing soil and depending on your needs will bring in topsoil for a nice growth medium, we usually aim for 1 - 2 inches of soil and then either seed and straw or install sod over the new lawn area.

Chaz and his team did a major landscaping project on the water side of our house on Lake Anna. Rip rap along the shoreline, steps, stone walkway, fire pit, outdoor shower. It’s phenomenal and absolutely blew our minds when we saw it. Chaz promised his best work and he delivered. Highly recommended!!!

Called for a quote to provide weekly lawn care, and discussed semi landscaping maintenance, beds, trees, mulching.
Operator arranged visit contract estimates within 48 hours of my request.
Thanked them for the quote and quick response. "Passed" as their estimate was double than of 3 other "local" providers.

Could not be happier with the Rip Rap project from Local Landscapers. Outstanding job and done in a timely matter. These guys do what they say and get it done when they say. This is a sunrise to sunset hard working crew that takes real pride in their work. They also have great vision and helped us figure out what would work and what would look great. Chaz and Cody knocked it out of the park on this one. High Quality work at a great price. These guys are becoming "The" shoreline company at the lake.

In the land of "Lake Time", I am happy to report that Local Landscapers have buck the trend and is an an outstanding Lake Anna company. Chaz and his crew do what most companies in the area do not do.... they work hard, they show up and they get the work done. Not only do they deliver when they say they will, there work is exceptional and professional. I cannot recommend this company more. They cleaned out, graded and planted grass in a war zone of weeds, trees and bushes. They also spruced up my deteriorating walkways to a fresh new look. I will say, they are not the cheapest landscapers in the

We are exceedingly happy with Charles and Local Landscapers! We always support local business and when another local company kept cancelling appointments, missing deadlines, and not returning messages we needed to find a reliable, professional and affordable company to work with. We found Local Landscapers and it was the best decision we ever made. Charles came out to do an estimate within a few days of my call, and the 35 yards of mulch and bed trimming was completed the within the week!!! I wish I called them instead of wasting months with another company. Charles is very professional, personable
