The accounting firm was founded as Hirth, Norris and Company, formed in 1976 upon the merger of the Charles W. Hirth Company and James E. Norris, Certified Public Accountant. Prior to the merger the Charles W. Hirth Company had been serving clients in the central Ohio area since 1964 and James Norris had founded his private practice the year prior to the merger.

Hirth Norris & Garrison is available to assist in all phases of the accounting process, from the recording of daily transactions to the preparation of financial statements. Business valuations are prepared as needed. Recently we have conducted valuations for owners both selling and buying businesses and as part of buy/sell agreements between shareholders of the same company.

After the financial statements are complete, we apply the appropriate standards to perform the required engagement.

Tax-return preparation begins shortly after the year ends. Throughout the year, we monitor potential tax liabilities to ensure proper estimates are made.
Agreed upon procedures are a relatively new service provided to any client who needs a specialized investigation. For example, if a client suspects fraud and needs an investigation of cash disbursements for a specific time period, we provide the service to the exact specifications. We require that the agreement be made in writing.

Contacted them after our previous accountant passed away. I ended up leaving them after I became so frustrated with their lack of communication and lack of response to my emails and phone calls. Only communication I got from them was a bill after I dropped them for over $1000 for work they supposedly did on my account. I would not recommend them to anyone.
