I accompanied my elderly mother to her dentist appt., I've got to say the staff was wonderful. Dr. Preston was a sweetheart and so patient with my mom, and the check in/out girls were great! Nikki, and Nicole answered all my insurance questions and got my mom on her way quickly. Thank you, that level.

Your Community Dental is located on Greenfield Road between 16th and 17th Streets in Wilmington, N.C. We recommend that you visit us at least twice a year for a regular check-up and professional teeth cleaning. A professional cleaning will remove plaque and tartar that brushing and flossing at home just can't handle. Professionally eliminating this build-up of plaque and tartar helps to prevent bad breath, tooth decay, and periodontal disease.
At most regular check-ups, your dentist will take x-rays of your teeth and mouth. Digital x-rays are quick, safe and can allow your dental team to see oral abnormalities, like tumors, cysts, or bone loss, as well as decay, gum disease, and movement of teeth over time. X-rays are not painful and will likely be taken once a year to get a closer look at any hidden issues with your teeth.
Cavities and tooth decay are one of the most common health problems around the world. Tooth decay can affect both the outer coating of a tooth (called enamel) and the inner layer (called dentin). What creates a cavity? According to WebMD, When foods with carbohydrates like bread, cereal, milk, soda, fruit, cake, or candy stay on your teeth.

Our experience was great from the the moment we walked in my girls were getting seen this day in particular they didn’t forget to come and get me immediately after x-Rays were over. They were cared by Hygienist- Krista and Assistant- Santos they were very nice, careful, and explained each step before they started and my girl’s loved them… They were also very upbeat and friendly ladies!!! Highly recommended for service !!!

Dr. Armstrong and his staff were extremely helpful, professional, and on point with helping me out of a bad spot. I had a toothache that kept me from even sleeping all night long and the next morning I just walked in and they were prompt to help relieve the pain. The lovely lady at the front desk, Jessica, was extremely helpful in assisting me with paperwork and insurance matters. I just owe you all a sincere thank you and hope you will continue the good work and helping others that come in the door feeling the way i did this morning.

Your Community Dental is great! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with smiles and professionalism. The team of Krista and Santos (my hygienist and dental assistant) were incredible and the equipment was top notch! It was quite obvious Dr.Schryer cares greatly about not only the dental health, but the overall well-being of his patients. If you’re in the Wilmington area and need a great dentist, Your Community Dental CANNOT be beat... 5 stars all the way!

Dental hygienist Amanda was great with my special needs child! My child was very anxious about her cleaning and so was I! Amanda made my child feel completely comfortable. She showed everything, practiced on her fingernails and was very reassuring about the cleaning not causing any pain! I’m so grateful for Amanda and the other employees at Your Community Dental! We are looking forward to her 6 month follow up since it was so stress free! You guys are awesome! Thanks for being so compassionate!

Absolutely the worst most unprofessional dental experience I have ever dealt with. I had our 12 year old in today for his 6 month check up. They took him back without me and then he comes out and is done. No one ever came to speak to me.. THE PARENT. I get from our 12 year old “everything’s good” as he shrugs his shoulders... because he is 12! I… walk up the front desk and ask “ Is he good or??... do we owe anything? Etc” And I get “yeah he is good to go”.. I then said I wanted to talk to the Doctor or a tech about his potential FUTURE need for braces
