Discover & Share
Young children are curious, bright, and eager to learn. We facilitate this by providing them with meaningful learning experiences that are both appropriate and joyful. We help prepare little ones so they feel ready and confident for the scholastic endeavors and social interactions of school. We also give them the tools needed to prepare them for a successful life.

We understand that your child's development and education are vital for their well-being. That's why we go the extra step to personally help each individual child to discover new knowledge and skills through our classroom learning. It's important that children feel special and receive recognition and praise as they learn new skills, and we provide this for them.
Services
Support each Child in Discovering, Learning and Sharing who they are and what they can do both independently and with others. Maintain a Positive Position in life of each child during the most developmentally critical stage of his/her life in an effort to improve the child's world as a whole. The Discover and Share philosophy is based on providing developmentally appropriate instruction, while becoming a partner in the education of each child.
At Discover and Share, infants receive "First Class" care. They are cared for and nurtured with experienced caregivers, so that they can feel safe and happy at all times. We take pride in the experience our infant caregivers bring to the infant rooms. Safety and sanitation procedures are high priorities, and teachers and staff receive regular training to help them develop and maintain a clean and safe environment for infants.
The toddler stage is a milestone in early childhood development, as they are developing speech, learning to use language in a positive way, and employing all five of their senses as they explore the world around them. Teachers of toddler-age children plan activities and use appropriate materials as they encourage children to explore and learn.
Pre-school students continue with critical thinking and experimenting to explore their world. Their play lays the foundation for "academic learning". Our pre-schoolers are challenged to think critically as they learn to distinguish objects as well as make connections between different things and ideas.
A state of Texas adopted language arts and math series are used and taught to this class in conjunction with educational series published by scholastic. Students in this class are daily exposed to the Texas state board of education essential elements for kindergarten. Most of our junior kindergarteners move on to public kindergarten or 1st grade with advanced knowledge of reading and math.

Both of our girls have attended since infants. When we drop them off it, feels like we are dropping them off with family. They are great at communicating, and genuinely care for our girls

3rd daycare we tried around here and this is w/o doubts the best, especially considering how much our child has learned and enjoys going there daily. Diverse environment. Decent count of children per teacher, but I havent observed any problem with that. And price wise hard to beat on top.

My son attended Discover and Share from 8 weeks to 10 months. He always seemed to be the "odd one out" in the infant room. When he started, most of the kids were much older than him and when we left, most of the kids were much younger than him. 6 weeks to 1 year is just not an appropriate age group considering the wide variety of needs and developmental abilities that take place during the first year of life. While we were happy for a while, we started noticing some neglect. The excuse was always "he wouldn't take a nap", yet the second we left, before we even got out of

A friend at church recommended Discover and Share for our first son when he was a baby. We have been very happy with our experience. We drive in from Grapevine to attend, now with two boys, a 2 year old who has been going since he was 14 weeks and a 3 month old currently in the infant room. The caregivers have all been experienced, kind, and patient. The boys are happy when they arrive to see their teachers and little friends. The caregivers use an app that gives us live updates on diaper changes, bottles, naps, etc. Management has been flexible with our schedules and open when we have questions

My son's first and only childcare experience left him traumatized at just a year old. I waited a year and a half to try again and found Discover & Share. I did my homework, met the teachers, toured the facility and decided we would try again here. Ms. Kim and Ms. Aurora have restored my faith in caregivers. The staff is tenured and they genuinely care about our kids. They have shown amazing patience both with my son and me during our adjustment period. My son comes home with new songs and all kinds of artwork and is so happy every day when I pick him up. My son has been attending this school for

Our experience at discover and share has been amazing!
We started with this school almost 9 years ago when my older child enrolled and he stayed with your school until Kindergarten.
When the little one was born in 2015, the first thought that crossed our mind as parents was "Discover and Share" when we discussed about daycare!
This school is very convenient in terms of location and hours, and I knew exactly the care he would receive. The teachers are amazing. Ms. Maria, Ms. Rosa and Ms. Kim welcome him each morning with a great smile even at 6:30AM!! and Ms. Erica is an awesome teacher for the

My 2.5 yr old has been going here for 2 weeks and she is already almost fully potty trained! Unlike the corporate daycares, I've see on a daily basis projects, class itineraries, and genuine care for my little. Price is reasonable and tons of extra curricular activities too. Wish I hadn't waited so long to bring her here.

My daughter has been attending this daycare since November and it is the best. The staff is so welcoming. My daughter fit right in. I couldn't ask for a better daycare for my little girl. Ms. Belinda and Ms. Aurora are the best! They have exceeded my expectations. Their curriculum is awesome too. My daughter tells me something new that she has learned everyday, including spanish. My 3 year old is bilingual. Highly recommended.!

This school is amazing!!! My family (3 kids) have been going to Discover and Share since 2004. As my older 2 have entered elementary, they were definitely prepared for kindergarten. The staff over the years have treated my children like one of their own. You can tell that they truly love them and what they do. I have always felt comfortable dropping them off in the morning knowing that they will be as well taken care of as they would be if I had them with me. I would, and have, recommend this school to everyone.

I have recommended this place to others and will continue to.

My daughter is 1 and has been going to Discover and Share for only a few months. We previously attended a Primrose, and they never provided me as much comfort as D&S in the 6 months she went there. I LOVE the diversity at this school, my daughter will grow up learning all different cultures. Her previous school seemed to be a bunch of young snobby people. (some were the exception) It's also very comforting to know that the infant room teachers have been there for many years. Nothing says "Great Childcare" more than that! My daughter is also a big biter, I apologize to any and

Discover and Share has been such an important resource to our family over the last 7 years. Child 3 is currently attending and children 1 and 2 are graduates and return for the afterschool and summer programs. Over the course of 7 yrs, we have several wonderful memories and experiences that I could share. To keep it (somewhat) short and sweet, here are the main ones that keep us coming back... 1) Visibility of children and staff. Until you get to know the great staff, you can gain peace of mind through the webcams available, video monitoring at the front desk, and the transparent design of the

I must say that staff is great, but our son seems to always get sick at this school. We pulled him out for about 5 mos period, he was great and healthy again. we signed him up again, second day at school, he gets sick. runny nose, vomiting...miserable. we have to pay doc visit fees and medication in addition to tuition. not to mention the nerve racking of a sick kid at home experience.

On a 5 point scale, I would give Discover and Share 4.7 points! I have 2 children that have been attending the school for over 4 years. Both started in the infant room and have progressed through the different classes. Our family has been so happy with the care, tenure and learning experience here. We tried a school that was closer to our home for about 6 months (out of convenience) and quickly learned why we are willing to drive an extra 10 minutes to go to Discovery & Share.
Care: The director, Stephanie, who runs the front desk has been with the school for over 15 years. She is always available

The website and initial site visit was impressive. We were excited about the art and music programs they advertised.
In less than a year we pulled our children out. The classes were over populated, the teachers were young and had little hands on experience. We began to see behavior changes in our youngest child in their center.
As soon as we pulled him out, his behavior improved almost over night. He loves his new school.

There are some good points:
School has cameras that you can use online
Generally clean
Decent security
Decent summer program

But there are some concerns I would consider before

Discover and Share is a welcome break form the current glut of chain and cloned day care and preschools. It is owned and operated by a family with school age children. We had 2 kids that went to D&S from infancy to Kindergarten. We found it to be a warm nurturing environment with an emphasis on family, community, and fun. It was a great environment for building well needed social skills that my kids still remember and use to this day. The curriculum was challenging and prepare my kids in the best way. My eldest child was so prepared for kindergarten that when she entered she had already mastered

My son is 3 and had been going to an in-home day care since he was 10 months old until just three months ago. The team at discover and share have helped make it a very smooth transition and my son really enjoys going to school there. Within a few days of him beginning there, it seemed that most of the staff (not just his teacher) knew his name and said "hi" every time he walked in the door. He was already a bright child before, but he has learned so much just in a few months. The teachers follow a specific schedule that begins with circle time every day and they share a daily activity
