Pioneer Counseling Services will provide quality mental health services to the people in Uinta County, Wyoming. We believe that all individuals should have access to affordable mental health care. Pioneer Counseling Services, serving Uinta County and located in the extreme southwest corner of Wyoming, is the only full service, community based mental health facility in the county.
The center provides a comprehensive array of outpatient services to all residents of the area. Additionally, the center owns and operates two group living facilities and monitored independent living apartments with services and supports tailored to the needs of persons with serious and persistent mental illness.

Our staff includes psychiatrists, social workers, counselors and case managers, all with varied backgrounds and areas of expertise.
All professional treatment staff are licensed and/or certified by their respective State Licensing Boards. All paraprofessional treatment staff meets federal and State regulatory requirements. Dorothy (Dory) Conger is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Wyoming. Born in Ohio, she graduated from Kent State University with a Bachelors Degree in Psychology.

Horrible experience with lack of professional ism and compassion. Family member was diagnosed with extremely rare disorder and their " nurse practitioner" was given explicit instructions from u of u on his medication that was meant to be immediately started and was completely ignored by Pioneer. After 3 days of calling and being told that they were having to" deal" with me, advocativing for my son who was in horrendous pain and lost seven pounds, I saw them for what they were. They do not care for their patients, the Dr from u of u said he had an illness, that felt like his cheek resting on an

Noce friendly people too set up your social security and payees and mail and photo id they have good video appointmentsvwith doctors.and clip is got pool tables and vending machines nice dissabled people to talk too at groups. And housing is nicer than most ive seen in alf housing and indepentent housing. Staff can get on your case and tell manager and you can lose your stay . be careful make right choices. If you need mental health help go to pioneer counsiling i recomend them for this area which doesnt have much behavioral doctors offices and beds for psychicatric patients in hospitals. Thankyou
