Services
With over 40 years in traffic law, we have seen virtually every kind of traffic ticket and violation possible in the state of New York. Our experience does make a difference: our practice is centered on defense against traffic violations charges, and we know how to negotiate or vigorously represent your interests in court.
DWI defense is critical to protecting your license, keeping you out of jail, and minimizing the charges that you face. You may be overwhelmed, wondering where to turn, what steps to take, and who you should trust to handle your case. Fishkill DWI defense lawyer Edward T. McCormack has more than 30 years of experience as an attorney with a focus on drunk driving and DWI defense.
Nobody needs to tell you that a DWI charge can change everything: Your ability to drive, your standing in the community, your ability to get to work. Skilled DWI attorney Edward McCormack can fight to protect you from the most severe charges, fines, and penalties. If you have been charged with a DWI, don't wait.
Refusing to submit to a Breathalyzer test on the site of a DWI stop or declining a field sobriety test will result in an arrest and automatic loss of your driving privileges for at least one year. Refuting the results of those tests is the job of a lawyer with experience in dealing with Breathalyzers, field sobriety tests, and the many ways they can be proven to be unreliable.
After a DWI or multiple driving offenses, you may find yourself in the position of license suspension or revocation. The loss of your license could make it difficult for you to get to work, care for your family, go to school or handle day-to-day tasks. You could even lose your job. At the Fishkill-based law office of Edward T. McCormack, we are experienced in helping clients pursue New York hardship licenses and keep their lives on track.

Excellent attorney. Ed produced results for me that far exceeded my expectations. I became immediately aware that he was highly respected by the judges and other attorneys as soon as we arrived in the court room. I was always kept well aware via phone calls and meetings as to the status of my case and I found his experience and extensive knowledge of law to be extremely helpful. Thanks again Ed

Do not use Ed if your need has ANYTHING to do with estate law. We were completely miss represented, told we owed money that we did not owe to a family member, and now owe money to the IRS and State. State deductions were never taken out at distribution, how does someone that’s suppose to be representing you not see this!? Multiple phone calls and aggravation for absolutely nothing, I basically did his job- what we paid him to do. Making phone calls on my personal and work time to the IRS and other companies dealing with this estate. What an absolute MESS and huge mistake trusting and paying him
