In the counties of Montgomery and Prince George's the Washington Suburban Sanitation Commission(WSSC) is the authority that's mandated by federal and state regulations to protect the drinking water from contamination due to backflow from unprotected or improperly protected cross-connections of backflow assemblies.

We are a local plumbing company with more than twenty years of experience serving the counties of Anne Arundel, Howard, Montgomery and Prince George's. Had a backed up bathtub, spoke to the owner who was prompt and clear in communication, the plumber who came was Bobby, he was personable and explained and fixed the problem (and wore a mask). Glad I called them.

Good experience. Matt and the other plumber(sorry name escapes me). These guys are good honest folks. They did a great job sizing my water jeat to the space and even caught that a finish carpenter had shot nails through the pan. Great experience and great job. Heater not jeat

So awesome. Walter was super patience with me in trying to assess my plumbing issue over messenger and the phone. When we figured out what it was, I purchased the part and he rushed to get a team member here to help me. Bobby, the plumber, was amazing, came twice (the first part didn't work) before realizing my issue was more involved. He didn't charge me anything for coming out twice. And I look forward to working with them to finally get it fixed.

Plumbing is not a fun part of home ownership but I'm confident I found a company I can trust that does good work! I would recommend

We had a leak coming through our ceiling light in the shower over a weekend. It was very easy to schedule an appointment through Yelp messaging, and the plumber Adam showed up promptly in the promised window. Adam wore PPE during the entire visit and was careful to use gloves and shoe covers as needed. He efficiently ran tests to determine the problem and took a picture for me so I didn't need to poke my head into cut up drywall and wet insulation. He was careful to laydown dropcloths and bundle them up at the end so I wasn't left with dust everywhere. He also made sure to explain

I have a new plumber! I have a new plumber!! Wow! Around 3 am I was looking up plumbers and came across Durance Plumbing. I sent a request for a quote and heard back first thing this morning saying someone could come out this morning. I jumped on it! Kirk and Matt came and made repairs to two bathroom toilets. I am beyond happy and told three friends about them already! Definitely keepers!! Thanks guys!

Adam is definitely the guy you want on speed dial! The extensive knowledge he has is beyond any plumbers that has ever worked on my home. He provides affordable pricing and never tries to upsell. My water heater went out and he was quick to respond and got out to my home as soon as he could. He provided top quality work and also took adequate precautions to protect the floors and walls. He was exceptional. I scheduled an appointment, had him come out and look at our issue. Not only did he quickly address our problems, he also went out of his way to point out issues that might occur in the future (old house, previous shoddy work, etc). At no point did he try to up-sell me or push additional work. I would use him again in a heart beat. Very reasonable prices too. Look no further, exceptional plumbers here.

This company definitely rates more than five stars.
Adam arrived ahead of schedule. When did a contractor even arrive on time? He replaced our three toilets in a very efficient manner. Adam is very friendly and is there to help you. Since he was there I asked him also to repair three faucets which were not part of the original job. Again completed professionally.
I was so impressed that I asked Durance Plumbing to come back and install a new water heater.
The best part is that their rates are very reasonable. I can vouch for this after calling many other plumbing outfits.

I was getting reminders from WSSC about backflow prevention testing. Turns out I have a non testable device and the part needs to be replaced every 5 years. It had come up on our home inspection but I had forgotten to get it taken cared of. I consulted the list on WSSC site for approved companies to work with and selected a competitor. That competitor was mostly responsive but did not have the part with them and gave me a very high quote to replace.

I read the reviews here on Yelp and decided to reach out to Durance. Not five minutes after leaving a voicemail, I got a call back and an appointment
