Harvard Jolly Architecture was founded in 1938 by William B. Harvard, Sr. Today, his one-man practice has evolved into a regional enterprise with offices spanning the state of Florida in St. Petersburg, Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville, West Palm Beach, Fort Myers and Sarasota. William B. Harvard, Sr. moves to St. Petersburg, Florida - both he and his newly adopted hometown begin to recognize the promise of things to come.
Harvard goes against the tide of Mediterranean Revival architecture with a design concept he called "modern tropical." Harvard's climate-conscious use of warm woods, balconies and cross-ventilation quickly stimulated a thriving residential design practice. One of Harvard's first commercial assignments was the expansion of St. Joseph's Hospital, which was then located near downtown Tampa.

Services
A city or town's civic buildings and libraries tell a lot about a community. These facilities are the community's 'living room' where people go to learn, meet, and interact. As a person who has used libraries throughout my life, I credit my personal and professional development to them. Our designs provide an enjoyable architectural experience and atmosphere for our clients and the building's users.
At Harvard Jolly Architecture, we provide the result clients value most: a functional design; a team that listens; quality, professionalism and attention to detail from the first sketch to the completed project. Since 1938, we've maintained a continuity of leadership. The professionals you dealt with ten or twenty years ago are often the professionals you deal with today.
At Harvard Jolly, we pride ourselves on our team's ability to solve the problems that face today's healthcare providers. Harvard Jolly consistently implements proven design strategies that focus on the patient, family, and caregiver. Harvard Jolly progressively applies best practices in healthcare design to ensure that our clients provide care that achieves positive outcomes for their patients.
Harvard Jolly Architecture is the 24th largest K-12 educational architecture firm in the nation according to BD+C's 2017 Giants 300 Annual Report and even more impressive, the largest of the firms on the list solely practicing in Florida. Harvard Jolly's education team has designed over 10 million square feet of K-12 learning environments that total over $1.8 billion in construction.
The buildings on a campus not only define a school's identity, but they are also vital to a student's overall learning and social experience. We strive to design impactful, state-of-the-art spaces that set the tone for future campus development. We also work closely with each institution to ensure that any new building or addition will blend into a campus's existing architectural character.
