The Lake Shore Hospital Authority (LSHA) oversees maintenance and operation of Shands Lake Shore Regional Medical Center in Lake City Florida. It has responsibility for ensuring that the hospital provides medical care options to the residents of this region and providing assistance to the indigent.

Services
Is to provide quality healthcare services for Columbia County residents through Shands Lake Shore Regional Medical Center and other providers designated by the Authority. Shands Lake Shore Regional Medical Center Hospital will be a highly visible and positive component of central Lake City. The hospital will provide a broad array of high quality medical services that address the diverse medical needs of residents of the region.
This program is only available to those who have lived in Columbia County for 3 months and who meet income guidelines. We are committed to excellence in providing quality health care while serving the diverse needs of Columbia County residents. Financial assistance may be available to patients receiving non-elective (emergent) hospital services who are not covered by any form of insurance or government program.
