Opened by Dr. Mary Rose Twohig's father, Dr. James Twohig in 1978, Twohig Dentistry has built a reputation in the Albuquerque community as a dental practice that truly cares. We value the lifelong relationships we build with our patient families and are honored to have many families we've been seeing for more than 40 years.
Your regular exam will take about 45 minutes. Each regular exam includes a detailed teeth cleaning, in which we will clean, polish, and rinse your teeth to remove any tartar and plaque that have built up on the tooth's surface. Visiting our office every six months gives you the chance to talk to the doctor about any questions you may have about your oral health.
Dentistry is a great profession. It allows me to combine a love of science and art in order to provide compassionate care for my patients. I really enjoy meeting people and having time to get to know them. One of the most rewarding aspects of our practice is seeing and caring for multiple generations.

I called and asked if they took my insurance. Based on how, "other dentist" do business they let you know if there are out of pocket expenses up front. Nope! Hit us with a 435. plus bill for cleaning that have always been100% covered. Wow! She said they can't keep track of their 1000 patients? WTH??? Other dentist sure do? Maybe they should get more help that will give patients the usual courtesy and let your patients know what their costs are before we go in. I called in the day before to assure they accepted our insurance as I had multiple times before our appt. Lazy, Lazy Lazy!!! Or it's a scam
