Founded in 1996, GeoTech Engineering, Inc. is a multidiscipline engineering firm with offices located in Morrisdale, DuBois, and Morgan, PA. GEI's primary emphasis is to provide quality engineering, geological/hydrological and surveying services to both our private clients and government agencies.
GEI's Oil and Gas Division has been servicing the Oil and Natural Gas Industry since the inception of the Marcellus Shale exploration. GEI prides itself on providing all engineering, surveying, testing and environmental services required to see well sites from site selection to site restoration and all areas in between.
GEI's staff can perform midstream and gathering pipeline design, construction, maintenance, and reporting services to support both short term (drilling and flow back) and long term (production) efforts. The work scope may entail survey, as built drawings as well as construction management and inspection services.
GEIs geotechnical drilling services can be utilized to provide accurate information with regard to subsurface, soil, rock and groundwater conditions for a wide variety of projects including commercial and industrial construction projects, natural gas pad stability and identification and monitoring of groundwater contamination.
The dynamic compaction process is used to increase soil bearing capacity and limit settlement potential for planned construction projects. The process can provide landowners and developers a viable option to remediate sites where soils with poor bearing capacity or areas of unconsolidated fills and encountered.
