November is National Diabetes Month, and while this month was originally designed to increase awareness of this common endocrine disease in humans, we need to be aware of the growing prevalence in dogs and cats also. Untreated, diabetes mellitus can be fatal in dogs and cats. If you believe your pet is experiencing any diabetic-related symptoms, please call us today!

Pretty disappointed. We came in, and had to have our sweet 16yr old dog Mazie put to sleep.
She was sent to Annie’s for cremation. We let them know we wanted clay paw prints done, and they were not. We in the end contacted home town, and Annie’s but they had no information to offer. Like it never happened, like we never had asked for them. Quite the feeling in the end losing your family member, and not even receiving her paw prints.. Lines of communication seemed to be lost. Hurts my heart, and now we live with not receiving anything but just her ashes. At least we got Those!

My best bud (an energetic 3-year-old Black Lab Mix) was SO sick for several days. I was really worried I would lose her. HomeTown fit us in, even though they seemed busy. The staff and doctor were friendly and kind. They kept her all day and ran tests. When I picked her up, they gave me medicine to take home, and by the next day, she was noticeably improved, and by the day after that, she was A LOT improved. Now, after just a few days, she's back to being an energetic pain in the butt, as usual. I'm glad I took her to HomeTown.

I’ve used Hometown Animal Hospital for a few years now to care for our Frenchie and Terrier mix. Our Frenchie was neutered here a couple years ago and all went well. Last week we took him back for his skin allergies and we were given lots of options and recommendations for his skin, he’s already vastly improved! We also got a great quote for cleaning our Terrier’s teeth. We definitely recommend Hometown for our pups needs!

We have been with Hometown since we moved to Central Oregon almost 5 years ago. They have always been knowledgeable, kind, friendly, and willing to work with us with our epileptic Husky on fine tuning her meds.
They have taken great care of us in an emergency situation we had with our other Husky when she was injured.
The care is personalized and the doctors and staff excellent, IMO.
Great people and would recommend to all.

I found Hometown after researching neutering costs for my pup. Some of the Vets in Bend are pretty proud of their prices. One in particular gave me a range of 250 to 450 for neutering. My little guy had his procedure done at Hometown and I even brought my adult girl in for an overdue once over.
From the front of the office to the Vet, everyone was professional and knowledgeable. Their pricing was very reasonable and they have earned my business. The Bend vets better take notice they are leaving money on the table.

Dr. Munck ( & Dr. Rene) I hope no hard feelings :-).
The entire staff at Hometown Animal Hospital have been very caring , friendly and professional.
This has been a very trying time as our Monster has had some serious skin lesions that formed into cancer. Monster had a front leg amputated and given her age of almost 20 we were a little scared but, Dr. Munck was very thoughtful and took great care. Monster is recovering very well and adjusting to being a Tripawd kitty.
I would highly recommend Hometown Animal Hospital to friends, family and anyone who needs to bring their furry family in.
Thanks

Cannot rave enough about how wonderful this entire clinic is... they treat our horses and dogs, and have provided the spectrum of services from routine vaccines, emergency farm calls, alterations, teeth cleaning, teeth floating, removing an eyeball, an amputation, and gracefully euthanized a four legged friend.
The office staff is professional, knowledgeable, and considerate.
Our fur babies have at one time or another seen each of the doctors there, and we have always been impressed.
Thank you to the entire Home Town team for all that you do for us!

I wish we had never taken our animals here. The female doctors here are very nice but the good vet tech they have is on maternity leave and the one they currently have soaked our dog in alcohol and poked her several times to get enough blood for one blood test (our dog is super docile and well-behaved when having blood drawn). They also double charged us for a blood test and refuse to refund the difference and they charged us MUCH more than they said they would when they took my credit card by phone for our cat's surgery and the office manager refuses to call me back. So frustrating! Update

Just a heads up, the two girls working the front desk either came from working a truck stop, or need to work at one! They are absolutely terrible!Rude, disrespectful, really don't care about you or your pet! I hope the owner, Scott, reads this at some point and does something about it. I have taken my animals here too long and won't be going back! If you experience this, please write a review so other people will know.

Clinic was willing to see our small dog immediately. Since he was shaking his head and dropping his ear we suspected cheat grass; but just in case we signed for blood work. Dr found cheat grass, but went ahead and did blood work which immediately tripled bill. We felt that once he discovered piece of cheat grass, he should have asked if we still wanted them to do labs.

My friend's dog had an emergency on a Saturday, and had lost ab lot of blood. Thankfully hometown animal hospital was open and willing to see her. The staff was great, very understanding of the stressful time my friend was going through. The vet did a great job explaining the plan and what was going on. She kept us updated throughout the day and meet with us on Sunday so we could pick the dog up. She was very compassionate and thorough. Incredibly reasonable cost for emergency care. Highly recommend!

Hometown Animal Hospital got us in quickly as our pup had an injured eye. Dr. Williams was able to relieve his pain and did surgery later. We had to go in a total of three times and each time we were seen quickly and on time and at what we considered a fair price. Our pup has now recovered and we will definitely go back for anything else we need.
