Our staff of physical therapist has over 90 years of combined experience, with most of those at HVOSPT. Each staff member attends courses and seminars to ensure that their patients receive the most appropriate and up to date treatment. Dennis is a long time resident of the Hudson Valley.
He graduated from Roy C. Ketcham High School and went on to earn a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology from the State University of New York at Albany in 1985.He received his Masters of Science degree in Physical Therapy summa cum laude in 1988 from Long Island University/Brooklyn. He is the owner of Hudson Valley Orthopaedic and Sports Physical Therapy since 1992.

HVOSPT is proud of its reputation of providing quality physical therapy and personal care to guide you on your recovery. This experience begins with a one hour evaluation in which treatment and goals are discussed and set by you and the physical therapist. Your physical therapist will also review with you your First Visit Paperwork, which you can download here, fill out and bring with your to your first visit.

I came to Dennis and HVOSPT for a severe shoulder injury after trying another PT that kept flaring me up. Karen, Dennis, and Jacqui and everyone here were so nice, and knew exactly what to do. The intake was kind and thorough, and Dennis has so much experience. He knew the best exercises for me and how to increase me gradually so I didn't flare up at all. On top of that, they were friendly and made me feel very welcome. The whole atmosphere is one of a nice community where you like to hang out. My shoulder is great now, I can lift it above my head, dance, and swim! I'm so glad to have found awesome

Great place to get PT done. Dennis Lopez is owner of this place and he himself takes good care of each patient.He is very knowledgeable and experienced. He explains the injury as well as the reason of each exercise with all the details and never gets tired answering any questions patient has.Him and his staffs are very friendly and accommodating to the schedule. After long time I was able to find the facility and people like this. I would definitely recommend this place over the known placed around where they are less professional, responsive and with more money making attitude than real intention
