Gene H. Hall, Jr. started Red Oak Excavating, Inc. in 1986. He started the company with a 450 John Deere Dozer given to him by his father, Gene Hall, Sr., a tobacco farmer and warehouseman. We began by clearing land and doing waterways for local farmers. Projects grew to residential and commercial sites as well as being certified by the Virginia Department of Transportation for highway construction projects.
Our company has many years of experience in site work, road and pond construction and erosion control. Our company now works within a 150 mile radius of Charlotte County and is a Woman-Owned Business. As we have grown over the last 18 years, we have recently completed our 12,500 sq.
