Probably one of the Play places we choose to eat at most. The food is always good. Portions are huge. Covid has put a damper on eating here certain times the drive-thru is backed up but still again the food is always delicious. It could have gotten a five-star review if only they were able to be in a better location a bigger storefront something with dine-in option. Staff is always very friendly very helpful.

This place was fast, delicious and well priced! My favorite dish was the seaweed salad. Some seaweed salad has a little seaweed and a lot of other stuff, but theirs was primarily seaweed, a little cucumber, a little sesame, and a little bit of spice. For just a few dollars, they fully satisfied my desire for seaweed!

You just can't go wrong with Hibachi, IMO. Hibachi Express was a welcome addition to Morehead some years ago and I am thrilled it I am still alive and thriving, although deliver options would be great! In a normal world inside seating is available. I would guess twenty person max, but it works ok fir a quick lunch. My go to option is pick up and enjoy at home. It is a great dinner with TV option. Portions are on the large side. Typically, my husband and I split a General Tso, fried rice and two orders of egg rolls (less thank $15 total). Treat yourself and support local.

I know, I know. Attached to a gas station? Gas station Hibachi?? Look past it and go here. It's some of the best Hibachi I've eaten, and it is the absolute most fairly priced for portion size. One serving of General Tso with rice is $10 and will 100% feed 2 people with normal appetites. Look past location and give it a try. Only issue to not make it 5 stars may be the small seating area, but if we're talking takeout it's 5 stars.

Normally I love this place but I called to place an order today and the lady on the phone was very rude. I told her my name four different times and she still put the wrong name. She ignored half of what I asked her. Not only that but she also had the audacity to hang up on me and not even tell me when to come get my food very upset and will not be coming back.

Fantastic flavors and experience. Do not miss this hideaway hit connected to a Valero gas station. Expertly done sushi rolls, flavor-packed hibachi dishes and the best gyoza dumplings around. If you like Japanese or east-Asian foods you owe it to yourself to seek this place out. Not a lot of time? They even have online ordering and a pick-up window. Seriously, I loved this place.

Stopped here as we were traveling west on I-64. The reviews looked decent enough and the health department 98% on the door was promising. We ordered the filet mignon and chicken hibachi. Beef was medium rare as we ordered. Chicken was cubed and moist. Fresh sautéed vegetables were cooked to crisp tender. Brown sauce was good flavored and just enough. The only bummer was the made-from-dry-package miso soup. It was hot but just OK flavor. College students came in a steady stream for carry out and drive through. There were 3 tables to sit and eat. Stop here if you want hot good food and don&apos

I remember my college days. Many meals taste great after a certain proper "pre-meal activity." I believe most of these 5 star reviews might reflect this. The Lo Mein was simply some pasty spaghetti noodles and the Sesame Chicken wasn't much better. I guess the proper "appetizer" was needed to rate this meal higher..."higher!"

When I first came to Morehead as a freshman in college, I didn't think eating food from a gas station restaurant was a good idea...But it was probably one of the best decisions from college. Crab rangoon and chicken hibachi are great. I would highly recommend Hibachi Express to anyone who loves Asian-American food.

I was skeptic of this place when I first moved to Morehead because of the location, it is attached to a gas station. I took the chance and ordered a few things to try. I ordered the spicy tuna roll, crab Rangoon, and the chicken hibachi dinner with no vegetables. The spicy tuna roll is perfect everytime and very fresh. Their crab Rangoon is also great, it is offered with sweet and sour sauce but is honestly better without it which is rare with crab Rangoon in my opinion. The hibachi chicken and rice is always great and perfect each time. I get this order a couple times a month and it never disappoints

What a little treasure we found tucked beside a gas station! My family loves Japanese hibachi and are used to paying big $$$ in our hometown to get it. We found this on yelp while searching for a place to eat in Morehead on our way home from camping. The ingredients were fresh, cooked right behind the counter and were very tasty! You also cannot beat the price! My husband ordered steak and chicken, I ordered steak and shrimp and our daughter also ordered steak. All the meals came with rice, vegetables and sauces. We even ordered the dumplings and the total for everything with drinks was $32.75

The location may deceive you as it is attached to a gas station. I've eaten here on numerous occasions and have yet to be disappointed with anything from the sushi to the hibachi. This is exactly what it states hibachi express so order and within 20 minutes your meal will be ready. If you're looking for the sit down and family dining experience there's a Japanese steakhouse not too far.

Let's face it, you've found yourself in Morehead which is not exactly the culinary hotspot of America. However, you're hungry and you want something cheap, fast, and Asian. Well, this would be my go to place. It's not a standalone restaurant, in fact it's actually attached to a Valero gas station. However what you will find is your typical hibachi fare at reasonable prices. Is it the best food you've ever had? No. But understanding where you are and the portions that you receive, this is a solid place in Morehead. I've been here multiple times and my recommendations

Decided to give this place a try after reading Yelp reviews, mixed with my love of Hibachi style food. First off, Google Maps sent me on a wild goose chase. I had to call the restaurant to find them...and now that I know where they are...they're super easy to find. They're located in the Valero gas station, near McDonald's. For the food...I got the chicken & steak hibachi dinner. It's not the greatest I've ever had, but for the price & location, it was pretty darn impressive! My daughter got lo mein. It was just ok in my opinion, but she enjoyed it. The noodles

Dropped in during the dinner rush, and it was very busy. The three people running the place seemed a little overwhelmed.
Here's the thing with Hibachi: it's meant to be cooked in small portions (think Benihana), and not as large heaps of meat or vegetables on a grill. This place did more of the latter when I was there, and as a result my some of my chicken was overdone, not all of it was properly seared, and my veggies were generally overcooked.
Given what I presume to be a lack of options in Morehead, Hibachi Express fills a need (and a belly: the portions are large!), but I've

I usually like giving mean reviews of places I'm not too fond of but I am doing an about face on this one.
Hibachi Express is an ideal restaurant for those who like cheap fast Japanese food.
My daughter's have developed a bizarre epicurean palette that consists of much "hibachi" type restaurants. This would be OK if it weren't so high. Here in eastern KY you are often out far more than $100 just to feed your ravenous family. SCREW THAT!
My nurse wife told me of this little place that delivered to her place of work that was much cheaper than most Japanese places.
