The Hope Street Project is a long-term project to help house the homeless in the Tri-county area. Dr. Bacon said one of the first important steps to ending homelessness is getting a roof over people's heads so they can begin rebuilding their lives. Barry Bacon is a physician serving Northeast Washington at the Colville Community Health Center.

This house was a total loss, burnt down from a fire around Thanksgiving of 2014. Less than one year later, the owners were able to enjoy their new home with greater energy efficiency and a more cohesive design than the original home. Caribou Creek Log Works provided the stalwart trusses and logs. This luxury home on a great view property was built with gridwall recycled product blocks and geothermal hydronic heating.
