Had a sick BMW x3 but am just in town for a few days and needed a quick diagnosis and repair.
Ken called to get my info but the timing to get my car in before driving back to San Jose the next day didn't work. Still, he took time to talk to me over the phone and gave me a ton of advice on what to do about my car. This was really above and beyond what I expected, and if I come back to LA I would not hesitate to reach out to him to get a repair or pro-active maintenance.
Seriously - this is how to run a business. Treat customers like they're not just a quick transaction. Thanks, Ken!

Kenny the owner is SUCH a good guy. Very blunt and to the point which is EXACTLY what you want in a mechanic. You can tell he loves what he does and still has such a passion to help people. He's making sure his employees are taken care of even after he's gone! He's got a great sense of humor too! Amazing human and would be happy to meet him as a friend outside of the professional environment. You'll be taken care of here and get a honest guidance which is rare in this field.

My car needed a lot of work and I talked to a lot of people but Kenny was the most honest, straight forward person out of everyone so I went with him. They finished everything when they said they would and were in touch throughout the process. Best service I've had in the area! I won't go anywhere else now.

Kenny and his team are nothing short of phenomenal. They're honest and do high quality work. It's not cheap, but when dealing with expensive cars, you're not usually after cheap since you'll get what you pay for. They communicate exceptionally well and stand behind their work. I have a 2017 Audi Q5 (less than 40k miles) that needed a full brake job & oil change among other things and Ken knocked it all out for me in a day. There was no hassle, pressure or cheesy up-selling...Ken kept it real and just told me what my options were. I appreciate Ken being a straight shooter but also ensuring he gives 100 percent to each customer's vehicle. My car came out the shop feeling brand new. Even if I didn't live in this area, I would go out of my way to this shop...The service and results are top notch...Thanks

Another positive review for Ken and his team! I took my vehicle to Ken for an intermittent issue with the back air suspension. Unfortunately, when I drove the car to Auto Werkstatt, it was working at the time and the diagnostic didn't show any error. Ken spent the time to explain to me all the possible causes for such a failure and the likelihood that each cause is what my car experienced. He talked through the plan for repair going for the most likely culprit. In the end, Ken and his team fixed my car and I have had no issue.

What can I say? This group did a fantastic job on my 2005 Porsche Boxster. Had the most random issue apparently caused by the numbskull who owned the car before me that ended up resulting in new brakes, rotors, emergency brake and another issue that popped up during service. August is a GOD. Period. Super cool. Very forthright (looking for a Boxster S as we speak). And the type of person who keeps it 100 because he clearly LOVES what he does...and Porsches!
I'm never excited to spend $3K on repairs. But I'd never take my car to anyone else because I KNOW it will be done right...no corners

I own an Audi A7 with APR stage 1, and I had quite a few faulty codes that came up on my vcds and decided that's more than I could do on my own. So I went to 4 or 5 places regarding the issue. I've paid diagnostic fees up until I've meet Ken. Ken assured me that the work is quite simple and most likely will be covered by my extended warranty.
He sent me to this shop that he also own and here I've meet Paul.
Oh man Paul is by far the best auto mechanic I came across and a wonderful person as well. He did manage to find more issues that weren't covered by my warranty .

I wish there was a 6th star I could give Auto Werkstatt. There is so much value in being able to trust a mechanic knowing you will not be taken advantage of. Owned a 2012 Volkswagen GLI that started having issues after 6 years / 60,000 miles. Found this place on Yelp because of all the great reviews after complimentary dealership service ended. I've had to take my GLI here at least 10x and would never buy a German car again if I'm looking for longevity in a vehicle. My low mileage 2002 BMW 330ci had developed an oil leak and the mechanic from my previous repair shop (Pacific Sportscars) retired. After checking reviews on Yelp and Nextdoor, I decided to call Auto Werkstatt for an appointment.
Ken was very helpful and extremely honest. It turned out that my car had multiple oil leaks due to its older age and not being driven enough. Ken and his team discovered many other items in need of replacement but was never pushy or try to up sell me. Ken and his staff really know their cars. My BMW runs better then it has in years. Not recommended. August promised me service beyond what I get at a dealer, but significantly under-delivered. Went in last summer for an engine oil change, brake fluid change, transmission fluid change, and a rattle.
Engine oil: the change itself was fine, but August missed a significant oil leak that was obvious to me, a layman, and I missed the opportunity to press Porsche to cover the whole $10k repair bill. Luckily, Porsche stepped up for most of it.
Brake fluid: wanted to charge more than Porsche South Bay, but eventually agreed to charge the same rate. Seems great.
Transmission fluid:
