Colonial Restaurant

I have a lot of food allergies! We went here for a banquet for our local fire department. I called ahead and talked to a manager before going. She understood all my allergies and made sure I was taken care of!! They treated all of us GREAT!! My husband’s chicken tenders was HUGE!! He said they must have cut them off an ostrich!! LOL!!! Great food and service, will be going back!! DADGUM GOOD!! GOD BLESS

We have had a few excellent experiences at this restaurant. Every time the food is well-prepared, in good portions, and everyone goes home happy. I am especially partial to the bison burger. Wow! What a delight. My children love the fish and the fried okra, and my husband loves the catfish. Very cool atmosphere, friendly and professional servers, and clearly they are a thriving business. This is Southern food at its best!

Undoubtedly this is the best , warmest, cozy little restaurant I have eat in , in a long time. The food so delicious. The wait staff all so kind and friendly. My kind of place. I will go out of my way to revisit the Colonial.

Tried to eat in Alta Vista but the restaurant had not opened way past their published time... We Went up the road and found this gem. Sausage gravy and biscuit were excellent and tasty. We will return here and just skip Altavista when we make it back down from Indiana

I’m giving one star because the staff were very friendly but the food left a lot to be desired.
I got the “king” burger and at $14 it’s a ripoff. It’s basically a standard cheeseburger (lettuce tomato, mayo) that should cost $7-8 at most. To top it of the beef had an odd flavor, possibly it was cross contaminated with something else. I don’t like to waste food so I powered through it but it was such a disappointment.
My nephew got fettuccine Alfredo and it was worse than what you could get in the frozen section. Zero seasoning besides a light sprinkle of pepper. Extremely bland

Hands down the best steaks in the area, even better than Tuscan or Perky's. They put New London to shame. The service is outstanding. Sharon is our favorite server, and she's worth the wait any night. They have the best salads ever, and the sweet tea is heavenly. I'm not a fan of the Alfredo sauce; however, when everything else they serve is a hit, they can afford to have one dish that is a miss.

Went here for breakfast with my family. They have good simple country breakfast options for decent prices.

The food was really good. was disappointed with the desserts. The fake banana pudding was not good. The rice pudding was not good. It tasted like lemons.

Beef tips and rice were fantastic. I also recommend trying the fried mushrooms side 🔥🔥. Location was clean, has a good ambience to it and offers top of the line service. Highly recommend!

AMAZING breakfast place, the food was outstanding, the service was even better! Such a wonderful staff.
The atmosphere is great ant the paintings on the wall are breathtaking.
Kudos to the owners for closing for 3 days to give your wonderful staff a break. Everyone who is working in this industry is tired due to being short staffed. So awesome you put your people first.

Friendly, fast service, reasonably priced and good food! Love breakfast and the Hamburger Steak and Gravy!!
