Originally from the Quad Cities, Dr. Alyssa was living in Cedar Rapids when she made a life-altering decision: to follow her passion for chiropractic care by attending Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport. She and her husband visited Center Point, Urbana, Toddville, and Alburnett, immediately falling in love with our beautiful area.
Since Dr. Alyssa was a child, chiropractic has been a part of her life. Whether she was dealing with chronic headaches, back pain or getting through pregnancy, she always turned to the natural healing profession and found that it gave better results than anything else. When her children were born, the chiropractor was one of the first people to see them.
The many signals sent between your brain and body are the reason you're able to speak, walk and interact in any way, shape or form with your environment and those around you. These signals are carried back and forth by your nervous system. When you have a misalignment in your spine called a subluxation, it interferes with your nervous system's ability to be the bearer of messages, leading to a decrease in your function.

I 💜 Dr Alyssa! Having suffered from lower back pain and migraines for years brought me thru the door, so much better when getting adjusted regularly! No matter the ailment….ankle, toe, shoulder or hip she always was able to relieve the pain with a plan to move forward. I will miss her dearly as we move out of state but strongly recommend Dr Alyssa!

I have never been to a chiropractor before I was having sciatic nerve problems running along my left hip to my foot. My friend recommended Dr. Alyssa Newman so I gave her a call.
Dr. Alyssa listened to my concerns, she took X-rays, then explained what she saw on my x-rays.
We set up an action plan, ajustments, electric impulses, pulling and massaging, laughter and great conversations, Dr. Alyssa is such a sweet person.
I also had left knee pain for at least 8 years.
I had noticed the x-ray of my hips and pelvic bones showed that they did not look even.

Dr. Newman is always there when you need her! She will listen to you and do what’s best for you. Normally when you go to the same chiropractor for awhile and you just become a client. This is the way I felt at my last chiropractors office. I’d tell my doctor that I’ve been having pain here and they wouldn’t do anything about. They would just do my normal adjustments.
