Services
Union Veterinary Clinic combines our compassion for your furry family member with the highest quality of care and attention. The philosophy of our practice remains that preventative medicine is always more successful than emergency medicine. At Union Veterinary Clinic, our underlying philosophy is disease prevention.
Marlon Bat Brantley, DVM- Dr. Bat was born and raised in Farmerville Louisiana. He graduated from Louisiana Tech with a BS in Animal Science in 1978. He received his DVM from LSU School of Veterinary Medicine in 1982. He practiced in Dubach Louisiana before purchasing Union Veterinary Clinic in 1985.
We value our patients and clients, and we appreciate the role we get to play in your pet's health care. Make sure to take note of the expiration dates, as we change our special offers from time to time. Again, all of us at Union Veterinary Clinic want to thank you and your pets for being a loyal member of our community.
Can you imagine what your teeth would look like if you never brushed them? It's no different for cats and dogs, though many pet owners don't pay very much attention to their pet's dental health. Bad breath and dirty teeth are unappealing, but many pet owners aren't aware that these may be indicators of gum disease that can spread to the kidney, heart, and liver.
At Union Veterinary Clinic in Farmerville, LA, we are proud to be on the cutting edge of medical technology. Radiology is a diagnostic tool we use to look inside a pet's body in an entirely non-invasive way. X-rays allow us to create images of all the body's organs. In other words, the use of radiology gives us a view of the internal organs in your pet's body that we otherwise could not see.

This place was a blessing to us!! We were in town visiting and our dog had a disc slip in her back that completely paralyzed her back legs. We had no idea what to do or where to go, so I found Dr. Mary Beth Brantley online. They were able to get us in the same day and provide medication to ease the pain along with laser therapy. She gave me her recommendations which lead to us rushing home for additional testing and eventually surgery. Dr. Brantley truly went out of her way and above and beyond to help us during a very scary time. We can't thank you enough for your kindness! Would definitely recommend

They will be euthanizing a dog tomorrow morning per the owner's request due to the dog being food aggressive. We offered the owner multiple safe re-homing options, she refused them all. The owner also purchased a new home knowing she couldn't keep this dog in it. Now this vet has agreed to euthanize this dog tomorrow morning. I wouldn't support a veterinarian clinic who not only condones irresponsible dog owner's behavior but takes part in euthanizing the dog as well.

I will never use this place of business again for as long as I live. You're better off going to Ruston or Monroe for less jaded and incredibly poor veterinary service. Spoken down to, opinions and thoughts dismissed with a wave of the hand, diagnosed my pet with arthritis, was sent home with corticosteroids and essentially ibuprofen. Turns out, it wasn't arthritis after all, it was a very aggressive osteosarcoma--she was dead in a month.
Consider retirement.

Positive: Professionalism, Quality, Reliability, Responsiveness, Value
The staff and doctors are really compassionate and caring when it comes to your pets. They have cared for my pets for years and I will continue to use them, heck I might start letting them treat me, they seem to care more than doctors for humans!

After 15 years of having very professional health care service for Sassy, Daisy, Neco and Bentley last Saturday was a bummer. I check in at 9:30 am with 4 pets ahead of me. I was ask to set in my car and they would call ( normal now days). After 1 1/2 hours of waiting and seeing people arrive and go in , I went and ask where we were their list. The receptionist check and said oop’s I jump over you to help someone else. Mine you 1 1/2 hours later she’s no longer looking at the sign in list. So she says you can be next for the front room. So I go out to my car and get my two pets for their shots

GREAT staff, easy to work with--and it's obvious they enjoy their work. From a friendly greeting when you come in the door to knowledgeable aides and Doctors, it's hard to imagine you'd find a better place to care for your animals. They explore all options for treatment with you, and there are no surprises in the animal's care or even the bill.
All in all, a SUPERB place to get some of the best pet/animal care you'll find.
