Many homeowners have a long list of home remodeling projects, many of which can be completed by the residents themselves. However, when it comes to basement finishing in Utah, the DIY approach can lead to costly errors. It isn't necessarily a consideration of skill alone, but also includes access to and knowledge of the best products and suppliers.

We at Hawkeye Framing offer homeowners more than 40 years of expertise as framing contractors in Utah, serving communities in both Salt Lake and Utah Counties.
Commercial and industrial framing projects differ sharply from residential renovation in several ways. One of these is the variety of materials used to meet or exceed building safety codes. While many industrial projects call for metal framing, depending upon the needs of the particular space, wood framing is both adequate and preferable for many commercial contexts.

Jim was so great to work with! He framed our basement and we are so pleased with the job he preformed. Always on time, easy to get a hold of, fair pricing, and so happy with the end result! Highly recommend Jim with Hawkeye Framing.

Jim is a great craftsman! He was referred to me by a neighbor and had him build out our porch including a longer stronger beam and roof structure he was prompt and very professional. We called him back the next year to frame up a storage shed and the results were great. Jim is personable, professional, efficient, and follows through with his commitments. The job site was always clean at the end of the day and being in the building trades myself, the qualities described above are increasingly harder to find these days. Great job Jim!

Hawkeye Framing is significantly the best craftsman I have dealt with. I general contracted many jobs with Hawkeye framing and many without. I never had problems when Hawkeye did our framing. The owner, Jim, takes great pride in his work and has always gone the extra mile for me without taking extra money. He always suggests that with the work I’ve provided him, that I deserve his best. I always get it and wouldn’t frame any project without Jim and Hawkeye Framing
