Ryan and his team from KnucklHed BBQ went above and beyond to make our wedding an absolute success. We had their adorable food truck cater our wedding in Whitefish, MT this last summer. We could not have asked for better food or service. They brought such positivity, excitement, and enthusiasm to our big day. Our guests had nothing but great things to say about the food and the experience with KnuckleHed BBQ! Not only was their food absolutely delicious, but somehow Ryan found a way to surprise us with a midnight snack of our favorite - the brisket mac and cheese!

The slaw topping on the pork sammich was really light and unique. The pork was smoked but tasted just like smoked salmon to me. I wasn't overly enthused. I will go back one of these days and try something different. Service was mostly friendly. One server it felt like was just over the day and was short with me the first time. Then looked at me & ignored me completely when I went back to order tots for my kiddo. I had to go ask another server if I could order and they politely informed me they stopped sales at 8. Overall, the experience was average and the slaw saved face. I really want to try

Best BBQ Ever!! Ryan and his team are incredible. He recently catered my wedding. We had a destination wedding and no clue what we were getting into with our vendors. I found him through Google and went with my gut. We were not disappointed!
We stopped at the food truck 5 days before the wedding to try some food and see what they were all about. He has the best brisket mac and cheese I've ever tasted.
Day of the wedding was fantastic! Dinner went smooth. Him and his staff were professional and a dream to work with. The prime rib was to die for.

Ryan and Knucklhed were amazing for our wedding! Truly amazing food from start to finish. All of our guests couldn’t stop talking about how good it was! Ryan made our wedding planning easy, fun and unique! It was perfect to have their beautiful truck at our wedding. We frequently visit the food truck when we see it around town, too. This Knucklhed fixed me a Veggie brat, and it was cooked to perfection! The condiments include sauerkraut and Sriracha, which is what I like. He's going to make some people happy if he keeps a couple of these brats around. Oh yeah, he's proud that he now has a salad, and carnivores love their salads, it's their idea of getting their veggies, lol.

All my meat eating friends say this is good BBQ. And the proprietor Ryan is a great guy. But I don't eat meat. What's more, vegetarians are treated as second class citizens! Bad form Ryan

In search for beer and BBQ we found SunRift brewing and KnucklHed BBQ food truck which was stationed on the SunRift property.
After getting a delicious beer we ordered the knachos (tater tot nachos) with smoked brisket and a pulled pork sandwich. HOLY MOLY. Who knew BBQ in Montana could be so good. The brisket on the nachos was juicy and flavorful. It came with beer cheese where there was an excellent balance of flavor and we loaded it up with jalapeños, onions and sauce. Love this food truck--always something unique and delicious! Aside from brisket, pulled pork, and homemade sausages, this place has amazing tots, fries, and cracklins. I noticed a three star review complaining about the lack of 'vegan' options, but note Knucklhead's motto is 'converting vegetarians since 1996. Complaining about a BBQ food trucks' lack of vegan options is like complaining about a math teacher's lack of history in their class. This is my favorite bbq in the Flathead valley!

I would highly recommend everything... And make sure to add pulled pork! Personal favorite are the cracklins (pork rinds) piled high with pulled pork, jalapenos, sauerkraut, and don't forget Ryan's beer cheese sauce. Make sure to follow them on Instagram or Facebook to see where they are slinging BBQ!

I'm occasionally in MT and I make a point to eat @ KnucklHed. They never disappoint, it's all great! I've tried the hand-made brats, the Knachos (clever name), and a couple others. All filling & delicious. Another winner was this special monster: The Mount Cheese-Suvius...in-house ground chuck, tons of cheese, smoked pork AND an onion ring with w/ beer cheese lava. OMG...Beer. Can't beat this brisket.
These guys are a family run small local business and take pride in the yumminess they provide to the valley.
Currently their set up is a tent and tables but soon will be a food truck. Yay
My favorite was the brisket knachos on fries. The beer cheese sauce was awesome. I doused it with mustard sauce, bbq sauce, jalapeños and onions. Then ate it with a fork. Couldn't finish it. But wanted to. So much oozy gooey goodness.
The same brisket was also on a sandwich and my husband got that with a side of fries.
The prices are reasonable and the service top

They do incredible BBQ. Hands down. Not just meat with sauce. Speaking of sauce, it's all made in house. The Carolina mustard is my personal favorite, but I'm a fan of all the sauce. Have I mentioned he even makes his own bratwurst?? Oh yes. The pulled pork is melt in your mouth delicious. Why do I not come here more often?!?! What they do is done with a level of obsession that is rare in the food world. They deserve our full support!
