Obtain a floor plan of your new residence and decide what household items you want to keep. Contact your insurance agent, to ask them about your homeowners policy and determine whether your possessions are covered when moving. Send your new address to anyone that might need it - insurance agents, credit card companies, magazine subscriptions, friends, relatives, etc.
Sort and get rid of things you no longer want or need. Have a garage sale, donate to a charity, or recycle. Moving provides you with an opportunity to start fresh, so ask yourself if you use the item regularly-enough to get rid of it. Decide what you plan to move yourself. Precious items, such as family photos, valuable breakables, medications or must-haves during the move, should stay with you.
Selling or buying your new home can be overwhelming, so we decided to make it a little easier for you. When you buy or sell your home through us we can help with the move! The Brenda Jones Real Estate Group offers a 16' moving truck as a courtesy to all of our buyers, sellers, VIP members and local non-profit organizations for local transfers.

Max was wonderful to deal with - explained the process well, was readily available, even after hours, and was encouraging and patient. He readily agreed to drop everything to go to the house to meet with plumber, electrician, check on the status of the snow in the driveway, etc.
Selling a house is not a simple process these days, but Max was great at smoothing out the rough edges. Would highly recommend !

Dillon Diel of Brenda Jones Real Estate Group was our buyer's agent for our first home purchase. Dillon was very patient and responsive about answering lots of questions and helping us understand the process, which was crucial to us as first-time home buyers. He also went above and beyond by showing us multiple homes on different days, and by setting up viewings out of state (we live near a state line).
