I do not recommend going to North Star Hotel In Munising. We reserved a room for our family and they booked and charged us for another room a few hours after we booked our first. It is not possible my husband accidentally booked two rooms a few hours apart. That led us to believe they had a glitch on their end and the owner will surely rectify it… when we talk with them about the mistake, we were wrong. We were unaware of the other room being booked until the night we stayed at 12:30 in the morning when the owner called and woke us up to ask us if we wanted the other room we are being charged

Amazing hotel !!!! My husband and I checked out other hotels in the Munising area and we didn’t like what we saw until we came to North Star Hotel. The owner told us they finished remodeling a few years ago, it looks like it was just done yesterday. You can tell they care about their hotel. Yes it is locally owned, not a chain motel. We highly recommend anyone going to the Munising area to stay at the North Star Hotel.
