Dr. Mustafa Alkhawaja grew up in the west suburbs of Chicago. He attended dental school at the University of Illinois at Chicago where he attained his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD). After graduation, Dr. Mustafa returned to the Chicago suburbs where he is now serving his community. His goal and passion has always been to provide quality care in the most comfortable setting possible.
His love for dentistry allows him to continuously broaden his skills through ongoing education courses and seminars. This enables him to excel in his field - never limiting the various treatment options he can provide to his patients. I have never been to a better dentist in my entire life. i have bad ptsd from bad experiences when i was younger with my previous dentists.
They were very understanding and comforting in dealing with me and my anxiety. They were also very gentle during my cleaning.
When i came back for my major procedures they kept the same energy as my previous visit. I was given head phones and got to watch Netflix.
Didn't even feel the anesthesia shot... that is a first for me and I've had tons of these in the past. They also made sure that i was comfortable during the entire procedure.

Went here as a new patient. Had to have a couple of teeth extracted and I haven’t been to the dentist in quite a while. Saying Dr. Caryn was phenomenal is an understatement! She made sure I was comfortable, took extremely good care of me, and her assistant is just as great! I will be going back for all of my procedures I need! Highly recommend! I had the pleasure of having my teeth cleaned at Dentistry on Orchard by Dr Caryn. I felt safe from the moment I entered the dental office. She showed me how they clean the air, sterilize their instruments and disinfect every clinical surface. Her skills were impeccable. She was thorough yet gentle. I recommend her to my friends and colleagues. Well worth the drive!

My experience at Dentistry on Orchard was a very wonderful one. From the office - with its modern and welcoming atmosphere, to the doctors themselves (Dr Caryn and Dr Mustafa) - professional yet warm and friendly, extremely thorough with great attention to detail. Everything was just fantastic. It may sound unusual (to say this about going the dentist) but I look forward to my next visit. It is indeed my best so far. I highly and very much recommend them.

My first cleaning at Dr. Caryn's new office was a great experience. I watched the TV as she worked on my teeth. This made the time fly by smoothly. She is very detailed, gentle, professional, and accommodates to your needs. Her staff is friendly and welcoming. The facility is fantastic, very modern and clean. I highly recommend Dr. Caryn and Dr. Mustafa, and I will definitely continue my dental care with them. Congratulations to Dentistry on Orchard on their grand opening!

I personally do not like visiting the dentist's office after numerous bad experiences when I was younger. My experience at Dentistry on Orchard changed that. Jennifer, the staff member was helpful in navigating my insurance issues and both Dr Alkhawaja and Dr Caryn were knowledgeable, easy to understand, fast, and most important delivered a pain free experience. The facility is state of the art and their x-ray caught cavities my previous dentist could not just 2 months prior. I will be coming back every 6 months!

Great dentists and services. I have gone twice since they opened this year for my routine cleanings, and they treated me with care. When arrived, I got helped right away without waiting, and the dental office was friendly looking and very clean. During the cleaning, they made sure I was comfortable and feeling OK. My teeth felt fresh and clean when leaving. Greatly recommended! I will be coming here for all my dental needs.
