Haizhen holds a Master's of Science degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from New York College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Master's of Science in Biomedical Science, and is certified in acupuncture and oriental herbal medicine by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine since 2010.
Acupuncture is a very safe form of therapy, without the side effects associated with conventional pharmaceutical treatments. It is safe in diabetics and most people on blood-thinning medications. Only disposable, sterile needles are used. Prior to the industrial age, gold and silver acupuncture needles were sterilized on the flame.
