Melanie Leavitt is a graduate of Loyola University School of Law. She has been licensed to practice law since 1984. For the first five years of her legal career, she represented unions, union health and pension funds. Since 1989, she has been representing the disabled regarding Social Security, Short and Long-Term Disability Insurance and State and Federal Employee disability retirement.

You must have worked long enough in jobs covered by Social Security to become eligible, usually around 10 years.

It was really hard trying to get anything done with COVID-19. I wasn’t sure where to start .... the initial meeting with Mr. Adam I felt confident about filling my Social Security Disability insurance claim. From there the process began. It has been a journey physically and emotionally. At my lowest point Mrs. Melanie called me while she was on vacation to give me comfort, confidence to trudge on.( who calls a client on vacation??) Right from the moment I meet Mr. Meunier to discuss the possibility of appealing my ruling on my disability claim, I knew I had come to the best person to represent me.
